KEAOS (Software) UPDATES

I'm currently in the UK and ours was also 12th Jan. may just be a long list :)

Ok. This is different. I’ve been wanting like everyone else here for the software update
Yesterday I had a Tera server added to my Strato V player. I looked at the software version and it’s from March.
I have no idea why this happened

It appears the 2 units together have another set of software?
Mike

That merely indicates the date that that particular device downloaded and installed the version of kOS it is running. It does not indicate that it is a different version than what some other device might have downloaded and installed a month earlier. It's only changed if the kOS version string is different.

How long does it take to get the software update KOS 26? My Strato C is still on the January update.
Rolling updates for 3-4 weeks. If you don't have it yet (I don't, many don't) then you can likely expect it by the end of next week.

The final tier of updates went live an hour ago right on schedule. It should be noted that the upgrade is a "pull" not a "push" so individual systems will upgrade at different times depending on when they check in with the head end to see if an update is available.

Thank you for the update. (No pun intended)😉

Mine is still waiting. I seem to remember that not so long back I had to contact support team who had to unblock something on my system before the update could complete. Possibly a Catalogue issue or something, I can't quite remember now and then it updated immediately. Happy to wait for now until everyone is shouting that theirs is complete as I am always at the eof the update list so not 'late' yet..

Just got mine as well.

I have my Kaleidescape Strato C set to CinemaScape 2.35 Anamorphic (I have a 2.35 screen and a stationary Panamorph lens).

I was getting both pillar box and letter box (black bars on all four sides) with Lawerence of Arabia, which is 2.20:1, and thought the new CIH feature would expand the image vertically, i.e., remove the top and bottom horizontal bars and leaving thinner vertical bars on the sides.

Did I misunderstood this feature or is there an additional setting I need to adjust?
