Given that it has Atmos I'd say there is a REALLY good chance since that likely means they derived this HD version from a 4K UHD version in house.

This movie didn’t have a Blu-ray release until recently. It is time to retire the old Sony Superbit DVD (anyone remember these?).......

I remember those.....have quite a few in boxes somewhere. I remember getting The Fifth Element Superbit and doing a comparison with the standard DVD version. IIRC the standard version was at 4.5 Mbit/s and the Superbit was 7 Mbit/s, and you could see the improvements if you knew what to look for, but I found the bigger improvement for me was the audio. I believe they ended Superbit releases when BR was released. (late 2006??) Fun days!

I think the previous SD release for Panic Room on the store was also the Superbit version.

I agree the audio on Superbit was good too. Most DVDs have AC3 with 448kbps whereas the Superbit DVDs have DTS with 768kbps. There is a dozen or about DVD releases from the late 90s/early 00s in DTS audio with 1.5mbps (Commercial theaters use DTS in 1.2mbps).

I think Dolby Vision upgrades are completely unpredictable, but are supposedly driven by popularity.

Having said that, Sony assets are not well maintained at K. They're always in the top 3 for titles missing 4K upgrades, titles missing HDR, etc. These are rarely addressed, even when we see multiple disc releases and updates on other digital stores.
