US BR & 4K Releases for January & February 2025

The Last Ship Seasons 1-4 are now available in HD for $19.99 each (or $17.27 for D2D), with Season 5 likely coming soon to complete the set.

I have a soft spot for the first season, largely because of the Kirov-class battlecruiser as the antagonist. As one of the most badass warships ever built, the Kirov-class stands out with its massive size, nuclear propulsion, and overwhelming firepower.

Great show one of my all time favorites.

Love Adam Baldwin's Character...

Also looks like Reacher: Season 2 has been added in HD from Paramount.

$24.99 (D2D for $23.55).

Comeback Trail (2020) added in 4K SDR / HD with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 from DECAL.

It is a good show indeed. I liked how they changed it from the nuclear apocalypse during the cold war in the book to a global pandemic in more modern times in the TV series. Then Covid happened a few years later in real life.

Added in 4K SDR/HDR with DTS HD-Master 5.1 from NEON

Added in 4K SDR/HDR/DV with Dolby TrueHD Atmos from Twentieth Century

Added in 4K SDR/HDR/DV with Dolby TrueHD Atmos from NBCUniversal

Amadeus 4K SDR/HDR/DV with DTS-HD-MA 5.1 from Warner Bros. Discovery

D2D $4.92

I noticed the Director's Cut HD version is not included but available separately D2D @ $3.14, it does appear that it was updated during the Strato V HD compatibly project, not sure it's a newer video transfer or not but it was updated from TrueHD to DTS HD-MA

It is not giving me D2D for the 4K version.

Did you scan the newly released Amadeus remaster? It appears that Warner is treating this title as new/separate and is not offering an upgrade price for owners of the Director’s Cut. I never scanned the prior disc so I don’t know if it’s the same with D2D (which would be new for Warner).

I have had this since the release day. It gave me D2D to the HD version for $3.14 some years ago. No dice for the 4K D2D.

Thanks, to confirm:

D2D pricing remains in place and applies to all versions of Amadeus.

Upgrade pricing is not available on the Theatrical Cut 4K version of Amadeus as this is listed by Warner as a new title.

I only had my Director's Cut BD cataloged, I never had upgraded to on K yet but I was still offered the D2D upgrade for the 4k theatrical

Here are what I have got.
Ok, that's the same as me. There's no D2D because you never scanned a disc. What you're seeing is that there's no upgrade pricing because Warner is considering this a new title. I'll update my prior post.

Um, The Third Man is sitting in the K library with new artwork... we're gonna see a 4K update, right? Cross those fingers, folks...

That would be awesome. Great film! And I’m sure the b/w cinematography will look amazing in a 4K transfer. 🤞🏻

It does. It has been looking amazing for nearly 4 months now and probably has extras/features/soundtracks that K will never get. I am constantly amazed at the patience of K owners who in some cases seem to jump through hoops to sometimes get less or at best case just get the same......

Anyway, if and when it comes as long as it is as good as the disc I can highly recommend it. I would recommend other classics that look great as well but if you want to wait for K you will probably never see them!

Sorry if I sound a tad surly. It is nothing personal!

Thankfully this one showed up in the States without too much delay. I can't believe that five years later we still don't have The Elephant Man*. Anyway, it hit both disc and digital stores today, and everyone else seems to have gotten the memo. Hopefully K didn't just get an art update but actually has new assets on the way.

*I mean on disc in the States. I know it's Criterion over here so there's no chance of a K release.

I wish we got the original Killer from John Woo so I can finally retire my 1080i Blu-ray copy from 15 years ago. How about Hard Boiled and A Better Tomorrow too.

Those will be Shout! exclusives for the foreseeable future
