US BR & 4K Releases for January & February 2025

Agreed. I think the root of this concern is, however, that because K is often unreliable when it comes to offering all titles, especially day one, the pre-order appearance is more or less a confirmation that K will have a title, a sigh of relief.

While to me it’s much more understandable for a new title than the panic over catalog upgrade releases, with this being an A24 title I have no concerns it will be available on K on release day. Add the fact we just saw it last weekend and it’s 3.5 hours long, I’m not in a rush to buy it and watch again. But it was awesome and I will buy and watch again.

Kaleidescape only lists some aspects even though the file will be the correct presentation. They have some 'core' aspect ratios that the system uses to control masking systems, and the 'in-between' aspects have added trim values in the metadata, which does not display in the store.

I've created a thread to track which titles display a different aspect ratio in the GUI than the film actually is, though admittedly it's not updated as frequently since I purchased a Lumagen and allow it to handle my aspect ratio adjustments for my scope screen.

I've been noticing some titles listed in the Kaleidescape Movie Store with aspect ratio information that doesn't match the actual movie file. I'm going to begin a list here so we can track and hopefully get them corrected.

I try to get my projector's lens memory and screen masking system configured properly before hitting play, and I'm using the information given to select the settings. When this information isn't correct, it kills the mood in the room when I have to pause and reconfigure. The most common instances seem to be listed as 1.85 when the content is actually 2.0.
