Since i lost track a bit: is all this (stuttering, audio dropouts) only happening when using DV or also with HDR10 content (or even SDR)?

Superman II Donner version, non DV.Since i lost track a bit: is all this (stuttering, audio dropouts) only happening when using DV or also with HDR10 content (or even SDR)?
People have had this type of issue with different devices in the past. Usually on Denon or Marantz. I've seen several examples besides the belowI really don’t get it. All this stuff works fine with other devices. I’ve only ever seen issues outside of the V with Apple just not carrying HDR on some apps (Peacock and Fox Sports) but that’s not an interop issue, it’s just on the app at all, for which I use a Fire Stick 4k.
The other one is with the Fire Stick not passing HDR10 through Denon and LG G2 on The Boys, but passing it to tv directly. But with the V it doesn’t matter if it’s through receiver or directly to tv, Dolby Vision has the same issue with not passing the signal well and seemingly not wvwn really being in HDR
Ive had it occur on all types...HDR10,DV,SDR.Since i lost track a bit: is all this (stuttering, audio dropouts) only happening when using DV or also with HDR10 content (or even SDR)?
Mine is a Lyngdorf MP60 with 2.0 HDMI and I use the included HDMI cable into my Lumagen so don’t think it’s just those and the ones I’ve had on DV are repeatable skips which would suggest it’s a content/player issue. It seems to be once per movie at random points, I’ve switched to the HDR10 version for Dune Part 2 so when I get around to watching that I will see what happens but by then my player may have updated.People have had this type of issue with different devices in the past. Not sure where to put this post. Need help knowing where to start for debug. Have a Synology DS1520 NAS, gigabit connected to NVidia Shield Pro, HDMI to Denon AVR 8500, HDMI to a new JVC NZ8. I have a Denon and upgraded from a prior Denon so I’m speaking from my experience on devices with their AVRs. Dolby Vision issue is also present when directly connected to the tv so it’s not the Denon.People have had this type of issue with different devices in the past. Usually on Denon or Marantz. My issue is with DV movies. Every few minutes, at reproducible time stamps, the video will stutter or slowdown and the audio will drop out or go silent. If I let the movie continue to play, sometimes it will auto resolve after a few seconds. However, most of the time, I have to either pause or skip forward/backward in order for the movie to resume playing proper. In specific, reproducible scenes, sometimes it will be impossible to stop the issue. I will have to forward out of a particular frame or scene in order for the movie playback to resume normality again. This can happen every few minutes in certain movies, to the point I have to clutch the remote and constantly pause/unpause or skip a frame. I have tested this and EVERY DV movie that I have (we’re talking >20 movies at this point) has this issue. The best way I can describe it is as if you’re watching a video on a slow internet connection with poor latency and the video is constantly trying to buffer or catch up. But, I’m running a 10G LAN at home and the V is hooked up to a gigabit switch and I have tested the throughput speeds coming out of the port and confirmed it’s getting the full GB. I even tried a 2.5G port and same issue (even though the V is only gigabit). My Terra server is hooked up to a 10G switch and confirmed it’s pulling 2.5G (since that’s the max the Terra Ethernet port supports).Since i lost track a bit: is all this (stuttering, audio dropouts) only happening when using DV or also with HDR10 content (or even SDR)?
Something is either screwed up with the V player or the DV encoding of the films. I have tried every combination possible to troubleshoot and I have single-handedly isolated it to the V player (or, it could be the DV movies themselves).
Smells like a network issue. To rule that out, try putting the V in standalone mode, download a movie and play it.My issue is with DV movies. And to the other poster, I’m not using Marantz/Denon. I have an Anthem AVM 90.
And as I’ve mentioned previously, this is a reproducible issue bypassing the receiver as I’ve tried the V directly into my LG G1 with the exact same issue. THIS IS NOT DUE TO THE RECEIVER! Maybe it’s incompatibility with the G1, but it’s not that old of a TV (and supports 4K DV @ 120K).

I assume you have tried direct-connect to your PJ? I switched from Belkin 4k 18Gbps HDMI cable to Blue Jeans 3m 48Gbps and experienced decreased sync time and fewer issues. I'm going through a Lumagen and the founder/owner swears by the 3m length to tame the signal reflection. Blue Jeans carries solid, quality cables.... nothing snake oil. I'm still on the older version of kOS and am experiencing 1 glitch--mostly 2- to 3-second pauses, per movie on average. Its not network. I only have a V so always standalone and experience these issues.
Yes I did try V straight to the PJ. Still had the occasional black screen when coming out of pause....obviously could not test audio drop outs.I assume you have tried direct-connect to your PJ? Yes, I’ve been experiencing audio drops on my Yamaha since the kOS 10.20 update yesterday. I never had this issue with the previous 10.19 version. It’s quite annoying, indeed.Has anyone who used to have Strato V Audio dropouts on Denon/Marantz had improvement (no Audio dropouts) with the kOS 10.20 update?
