How did it look and sound?Duck Soup on K
First time watching so don't have a frame of reference to compare to disc or streaming. No issues with audio. Dialogue, score and sound effects were mostly clean and discernible. I don't remember anything glaring about the video. Overall, it looked well, with fine detail. There did appear to be some shots in the war sequence that weren't quite as sharp but still looked good. How did it look and sound?
"perhaps a rental, not sure on the rewatch value"Last night we watched September 5. I've been looking forward to seeing this and wasn't disappointed. Even though you know what's going to happen the script and performances kept you engaged. As someone who spent a decade working in TV newsrooms and with network news, they did a really good job of portraying things accurately from that perspective. Highly recommended, though perhaps a rental, not sure on the rewatch value.

Crocodile Dundee. Seeing how the upcoming UHD will be censored, I'm glad K has the original cut in 4K HDR.
This was my first time watching it since I was a kid. My wife and I loved it. Looked great.
The family and I knocked out the three Back to the Future movies in advance of our pending trip to Universal Orlando. My kids have never seen these, and I haven't re-watched them in a long time. What a delight. A lot of '80s content I've tried to share with my kids hasn't held up, but these 100% do. So smart and fun. And it sang of course on K and the new Utopia speaker upgrade.
Watching these had me web searching about the movies and actors a bit, and I happened into Tom Wilson's YouTube channel. There's some real gem content there. I really enjoyed his Humbly Super Famous piece. Tom Wilson
I’m with on Emilia Perez. I didn’t hate it but most of the music numbers just seemed jarring and took me out of the movie. I think making a good musical is really challenging, like Lion King, Hello Dolly, or even Wicked. I appreciate the attempt to be bold but I think it could have been a better film without trying to add musical numbers.Agreed on Juror #2, Conclave, and Nosferatu. I'll add The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown, great films.
Surprises for me: Companion was actually good, and Emilia Perez was just off for me. Can't recommend.
Well now that we’re on to the topic of musicals, I’ll say it’s a damn shame there’s not a 4K/Atmos release of Chicago, a remarkably good movie and musical, and the visuals are really good so it deserves a re-release.I’m with on Emilia Perez. I remember seeing a giant end-cap of Top Gun at Price Club for just $24.99! It was incredible.I was in high school, working at a pizza place that doubled as the local small-town VHS rental store. I distinctly remember when home video ownership became a thing. Top Gun was the big title that was priced at a consumer-friendly price, followed up by Crocodile Dundee. We brought in a ton of copies for rental and as the rentals declined, sold the extras off at $9.99 each. Pretty Woman was another in that bunch.
Yes, that captures it for me too. Jarring. And not about the social issue presented, but more about the irrational actions around it. Plus stereotypes. And agreed musicals are hard!I’m with on Emilia Perez. I didn’t hate it but most of the music numbers just seemed jarring and took me out of the movie. I bought the used copies. I think $7.99 for Crocodile Dundee and $9.99 for Top Gun.I remember seeing a giant end-cap of Top Gun at Price Club for just $24.99! It was incredible.
I recently purchased this. I honestly don’t remember the last time I watched it, probably on DVD. I actually can’t wait to watch it.Con Air in glorious 4K and Atmos. Just pure 90's fun with Cage.
Just PUT the BUNNY BACK in the BOX!
Same here! I did watch one of the scenes yesterday and the new 4K transfer looks way better than I remember my DVD looking. lol.I recently purchased this. I honestly don’t remember the last time I watched it, probably on DVD. I actually can’t wait to watch it.
Just one of those movies we have always gone back to for being just good entertainment.Watched Enemy of the State last night:
It looked ridiculously good for HD/SDR. I believe this is one of those Disney/Fox movies that have new transfers/encodes (over the ancient MPEG-2 Blu-Ray) and it shows. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the movie or thrillers.![]()
