Not sure I follow. KOS update and chroma questions are unrelated things. Max chroma for Cinematic DV is 422 but does have a bit depth equivalent to 11.5bits. Some Cinematic HDR10 will be 444, 10bit if present in the source file. What looks better will likely depend on preference and gear being used.K updated this morning.
Do we still have to download Cinematic HDR10 if we want 444? (If movie actually supports it) or can we now download Cinematic DV?
I think he’s referring to the bug where player conversions from DV to HDR10 are reportedly too bright? There’s supposed to be a firmware patch coming for that. Not sure I follow. Mine just updated as well. Really hoping this resolves my Strato V’s random audio drops. Happened twice last night while watching The Batman. I have already worked with Kscape support to troubleshoot potential HDMI or display issues.
Have you tried limiting the output to 10 bit per channel (i.e. 30bit in total)? Seems to have solved the problem here...Mine just updated as well. Sadly no. Wait for 26.1.1My Strato K is on 26.1.0, is this a new firmware that fixes Dolby Vision to HDR conversion?
