It normally takes at least a month for me to I’m in Maryland. I understand the dealers and installers get it 1st.

Just a bit of expanded information about HDMI CEC support in the kOS 10.23.0 release.HDMI CEC and Compliance (Strato V, E, and M)
We have added HDMI CEC for Strato V, E, and M players, allowing the Kaleidescape remote to control volume and toggle power of the connected AVR or display.
HDMI CEC is not enabled by default. To enable HDMI CEC, go to the Browser Interface, navigate to Settings, Components, and then select the Settings button beneath the player you want to enable. In the pop-up window, select the Control tab and check the Enable HDMI CEC box.
Not yet, but perhaps eventually. With this release, the player won't tell the app that volume control is supported just based on CEC, so the app won't display the controls. With this update is there any chance of leveraging CEC for volume control via the iOS app?
Excited to try this at our vacation house when i have time. The bummer for me is that "The HDMI CEC support in kOS 10.23.0 does not support the sending of power off commands to downstream devices."Just a bit of expanded information about HDMI CEC support in the kOS 10.23.0 release.
This feature is still in a Beta phase and improved support will be added in future kOS versions. There is a table of supported features along with small set of frequently asked questions posted on our Support site at https://www.kaleidescape.com/support/article/HDMI-CEC-Frequently-Asked-Questions. I've reposted the FAQ questions here but not reproduced the table. Please follow the link to the support site to see the table.
Frequently Asked Questions
My display does not power on when I press the Power button on the KREMOTE
Some displays (for example, LG displays) must be configured to power on to the most recently used input for the display to turn on when the Strato leaves standby.
My display does not power off when I press the Power button on the KREMOTE
The HDMI CEC support in kOS 10.23.0 does not support the sending of power off commands to downstream devices.
I have enabled HDMI CEC on my LG display but the KREMOTE volume buttons are not working
LG displays currently ignore HDMI CEC volume commands.
HDMI CEC support for color keys.
Some display remotes include four color buttons. In kOS these buttons have been mapped to HDMI CEC commands as follows:
NOTE: Some display devices may require additional settings tweaks to enable support for these commands. For example, on Samsung displays, you may need to enable the "Input Settings Plus" feature on the HDMI port to which the Strato is connected.

I'm slowly working through doing something similar with openhab. Pain point for me was my Ayre preamp being IR only (Global Cache to the rescue)..... The bummer for me is that "The HDMI CEC support in kOS 10.23.0 does not support the sending of power off commands to downstream devices."
However, I can work around this by just getting Home Assistant to do that function for me... watching for the Strato to power off and sending the IP command...
10.23.1 is a small patch release with a couple of small bug fixes:I didn’t catch any release notes for this one. Anyone know what was updated?
BTW, I can always tell when my K updates to new software because my Strato C turns off afterwards. Try to watch K? Blank screen? Must have been updated. I must physically push the power button on the front of the unit. 100% of the time following updates.10.23.1 is a small patch release with a couple of small bug fixes:
No, some devices like my Blu-ray player are generally turned off. CEC disabled everywhere. I use Control4 to power that on/off devices that aren't running 24/7. Strato C going turning off after an update happens is isolation with no other devices being interacted with.Do you keep all your other sources turned on constantly?
Interesting point. I'm quite sure my Strato C is always on and only goes to sleep without me sending a discrete power toggle command (I only ever see the full boot process after an upgrade or if I'm doing a web-issued restart for some reason). So are you saying you issue discrete commands to power on/off each time the Strato C is used?I use Control4 for my theater as well with my Strato C and I’m not sure I follow the issue that you’re seeing. Are you saying if you don’t physically press the power button on the front of the Strato (after a firmware update) then Control4 cannot turn it on via IP? If that’s the case then I’m not seeing the same issue.
To clarify, my Strato C does not go into a state of Sleep after a software update. It powers down completely, the same as physically pressing and holding down the power button until you hear it shut down. In this state, following a software update, if I go to my-kaleidescape.local and look at Settings, no Movie Players appear (Strato C is my only player). My Terras are there, but the Strato C is not. Nothing that is issued as part of my "Watch Kaleidescape" activity has any effect on the player. I must physically go to it and press the power button at which point it powers up, re-appears on my-kaleidescape.local, and can be used.If your Control4 system is programmed properly, when you select "Watch Kaleidescape" it should automatically issue a discrete power on to the Strato C (waking it from sleep) and select the proper input on your AVR/TV. And then when you turn off the room with the remote, the Strato C should go back to sleep (and the front panel light should go out). If it's not doing that, then something is off with your C4 configuration/programming.
What is your usual standby state set to on the player itself, high power or low power? Probably not that as I’d assume it would go into deep sleep after a while even if you didn’t power off but maybe not if you don’t have a power off command and the update does put it to full standby. To clarify, my Strato C does not go into a state of Sleep after a software update. It sounds like this is unexpected. I'll see if I can add a discrete "Power On" button to my remote to see if that helps mitigate the issue until I pick this up with Support. I suppose I missed my chance to test this today as I already powered it on. Next quarter it is!![]()
Interesting. My Strato V was not responding to my Unfolded Circle Remote 3 commands tonight until I rebooted the remote and I didn't know why. Then I coincidently stumbled across your post. Checked my system and the update was installed yesterday.BTW, I can always tell when my K updates to new software because my Strato C turns off afterwards. Try to watch K? Blank screen? Is this normal? Am I missing an auto-restart setting somewhere? I've still got years of warranty left so just wondering if this is something I'll need to work with Support on eventually...
