awesome! Thanks, K for giving us the 4k transfer with the non-neutered bass track!

I'm not sure this is the bass track you are looking for. The 4K disc has DTS-HD MA 7.1, whereas K now has DTS-HD MA *Stereo* for HDR/UHD (and DTS-HD MA 7.1 for the HD version).

Sadly, you’re correct. I was mistaken :(

I have a few dumb questions if I may that are triggered by this update. Being a relative newbie to K this is my first update that I have been ‘offered’ by the system. So keen to see what happened I just clicked OK and it seems to have worked In that it deleted the existing and downloaded the new version. Tbh, I don’t think I even read what the update was but now realise it is was a stereo track option and some HDR improvements.

1 - The K was installed and projector calibrated for us and so I haven’t amended any settings myself and currently away so can’t check it in the room but as I understand it all audio file options are downloaded at once but it plays the best available/playable by your processor? Is that right? We just want to hear the best available quality and prefer the atmos like experience. Is that automatic? I realise this is dumb/basic stuff but it hasn’t been a thought even until now because it has sounded good. :) and so we have

2 - I guess I should ask, if I specifically wanted to hear the stereo track, how do I force that to be played? Is that by selecting stereo on the processor rather than a setting on the movie/K? Btw we have a Storm processor if that’s relevant to this question.

Thx

It is similar to playing a disc. You can bring the info screen on while playing the movie and select the audio soundtrack and subtitles.

Crikey, not sure how I didn’t notice that. I will take a look when I get back in the room. Thanks. Newbies huh? :) :)

FINALLY "Misery" in 4K. The disc had been out for ages.

Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow HDR version update
Audio and video improvements

I rewatched Live, Die, Repeat last night. I really enjoyed the new audio track. Yes, the massive bass note that begins the movie has been slightly toned down but it still rattled my theater. The atmos track was amazing, especially during the many battle scenes on the beach. Great movie that is still under appreciated with an incredible sound track. Really enjoyed it.

Following the release in UHD, there is an HD version update - Video quality improvements for the following

Guess “For a Few Dollars More” will get one too but as I have upgraded to UHD all four I won’t be able to track it.
