KEAOS (Software) UPDATES

Mine updated on Oct. 1 and my HDMI issues have been worse since then. I am to the point now to where the only way I can get a signal to my projector is by setting the Strato K to output at 1080p.

Strato K -> Anthem AVM90 8k -> MadVR Envy Core MK1 -> Epson LS12000
Same here but I found a solution for now anyway:

Is the workaround that you are referring to the insertion of the HDMI switch into the video chain that you rerferenced in a different thread?

Yes, I put the switch between the Strato K and the audio processor and Cinematic HDR10 was working right away. It is an old switch I purchased years ago but supports 4K@60Hz. They don't even sell it anymore, but my point is that even something as cheap as this will fix the issue.

I think in this case, the fact that it is a cheap switch is the reason why it seems to remove the HDCP flag from the stream. An expensive one from a reknown brand wouldn´t do that.

Not to mention, I don’t think evading HDCP is legal. I would probably keep digging for a better solution, but I can understand the urge to call it fixed and move on.

I said that I had found a fix for now. I will still be looking for other solutions. Who knows, another update from either Trinnov or Kaleidescape might fix it?

I finally have a Strato K incoming for our own showroom and testing. I have a two Altitudes (32 and CI) and an Envy Extreme MK2 in the chain.
I´m really curious how it will behave in my setup and will share my findings of course.

I have a Trinnov Altitude 32, Envy Extreme MK2 and a Strato K. There are no HDMI problems at all here in Home Cinema with the K and C4K HDR10 movies.

What is your display? Are you using HDMI 2.1? What HDMI cables are you using?

Hey folks, the most recent update (26.1.2) was a very focused bug fix release. The main user-facing issue was one that was causing Co-Star playback to occasionally fail due to a timeout. There were no HDMI-related changes in this release.

We are aware of some HDMI interoperability issues that have been reported, and we have some improvements currently in testing, but those were not ready for this release.

Altitude with HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 board? What projector/display?

One thing I've learnt from a lifetime of software development is that nothing annoys users more than a random update with no notes, or one with the description "Bug fixes"!

Whilst adding explanations can sometimes cause support teams work (in explaining), in general, listing the changes made in a release, even very concisely is pretty much always a positive thing from the user's side.

It also dampens internet speculation...

Thats a strange cable...
It is not for sale in the store? i did not find it on the Audioquest website either.
I replaced it for a Cinnemon, wich I think is a better cable, but i could have it wrong?

My chain is a Strato K-Altitude16 2.1-Envy Extreme MK3-Novastar MX 2000 wall processor. And had blackouts and no signal at all above 4k @ 60hz with Audioquest Pearl (different lengths), and some other HDMI 48 cables between the envy and MX2000. spend hours to get it going, as a last resort I tried the Audioquest Jupiter that came with the K, and all worked up to 4K-12-4:4:4@120hz!, I tried to order a couple more, the only place I could get them was on eBay, but a few days after my order it got cancelled for some reason. I tried Kordz and had blackouts. The Audioquest Cinnamon and Forrest (2m) came in today and going to try them soon.As I am a bit nervous having only 1 cable atm that works.

Can you tell which exactly? They have quite a variety of cables with different specs. We´re using the passive Kordz with good results, just full-fiber Celerytec for the longer runs.

Trinnov with 2.1 board, Projektor is the JVC NZ500.

I use the Audioquest HDMI cable that comes with the Strato K to connect with the Trinnov.
At first I tried a no name standard HDMI cable, but that didn‘t work.

If you’re maintaining a 2.1 signal chain with the Strato K, that is encouraging. No disrespect intended, but it’s too bad you don’t have an NZ800/900 to try 8K. What HDMI cables are in the signal chain besides the Audioquest?

I tried the Kordz PRS4 after reading others having good results with it
