Yeah, the purchase finally went through but the download has been hanging pending a guide update. Maybe the K folks were tying the title to the update when I was trying to buy it. Relief. I was worried that the movie appeared by accident and I was going to miss out.

The suspicion is that the "New Release Movies" section is manually maintained, so often it takes a little bit to update.

To always see the latest right away, go to Movies > Browse All > Sort by > Date Added to Store.

On pre-order items, it would seem that Kaleidescape doesn't list an audio format until they have one in-house that meets their standards. Sometimes the Atmos indicator will appear immediately, sometimes it is added in the pre-order window, sometimes at release, and sometimes it's not there until after release.

Let me add a little detail on this.

The audio track information shown in the movie store UI is derived directly from the same database that tells our systems which audio tracks are available for playback. That database entry is created when the content team is doing the actual processing of the raw movie assets into the package that is downloaded to your systems.

So, with pre-orders, if that process has not been completed yet, there may be no audio information shown in the store. It will update as release date gets closer and the assets are staged and ready.

As for Romulus, I believe that we are expecting Atmos on this one, but please don't take that as gospel until you see the information actually appear.
