Thank you to those of you who provided feedback through TestFlight! Based on some of that feedback, I just pushed out a new build. A few of these items are related to a Co-Star system, which I do not have to test against, so any feedback from users on how the app is working on those systems is VERY helpful!
Popcorn Ready 0.9.0 (60)
Added a Film Perforations setting under Experience. Turn it off to remove sprocket holes from the 70mm, 35mm, and 16mm views across Library, Downloaded, and Catalog.
Fixed imported Blu‑ray titles appearing in Collections but not Library. Blu‑rays available to play immediately now appear consistently in both Library and Downloaded, retaining their local poster artwork. Discs requiring insertion remain hidden.
Improved Scripts behavior on Co‑Star systems. Popcorn Ready now explicitly supports the Strato script library only; paired Premiere scripts remain separate. Regular Strato/Terra systems are unchanged and don’t show Co‑Star messaging.

I'm not sure yet. On one hand, I did write the core logic so that it would also run on Android. But on the other hand, I don't have any Android devices to test against so I'd be doing the front end with only simulators for testing. If I decide to do it, it will be after the iOS version is stable and well tested.
TestFlight Build 79 — Important format upgrade instructions
I’m moving the public TestFlight group from build 66 to build 79. The biggest change is a easier way to upgrade downloaded movies to newer formats such as 4K Cinematic.
Please follow this order:
During cleanup, Popcorn Ready recommends which format to keep based on your preferred order, but please review that choice for each movie. Likely supplemental packages are kept by default.
Other notable changes since build 66:
I’m moving the public TestFlight group from build 66 to build 79. The biggest change is a easier way to upgrade downloaded movies to newer formats such as 4K Cinematic.
Please follow this order:
- Go to Downloaded → Manage Downloads.
- Check Download Quality Preferences and arrange the formats in your preferred order.
- Open Add or Remove Titles and stay on Add.
- Use Best + for individual movies or Upgrade Multiple Titles for a batch.
- Review and submit the downloads. There is also an optional Skip supplemental downloads preference. When enabled, Popcorn Ready removes new companion queue entries that the Movie Store adds automatically, while protecting the movie formats you explicitly selected and anything already in the queue.
- Wait until the new formats have completely downloaded and confirm they appear in Downloaded.
- Return to Remove → Clean Up Secondary Formats to delete the older copies. The option to remove likely supplemental packages is off by default. Leave it off if you want to preserve unmatched lower-quality companion or supplemental material. There may be HD downloads where the full movie is bundled with the extras. So if you are wanting to keep extras, please use caution.

Other notable changes since build 66:
- More accurate format badges and movie-edition matching.
- A cover-shuffle button on the Remote, immediately to the right of Info.
- Script repair when an old downloaded format has been replaced.
- Correct 4K Cinematic badges in Scene Shot List.
- Script cue reordering now uses reliable up/down arrows instead of drag-and-drop.

Any plans to integrate with other platforms like Plex or Apple? I would live to have one place to see everything in my library.
Unfortunately that is VERY unlikely unless Apple creates an API with library access.

Is there a way to use the random movie generator, while limiting the options to the different movie collections you can make? Or even the factory ones, such as favorites, new, or watch soon. If not, that would be a cool option.
I will look at that when I get home. It does currently take into account filters. So I can probably just add collections into the same filter slicing. Good idea! Thanks!

Maybe collections could be added to the View menu, below Collapse TV Seasons. That seems like a logical place, if you're taking suggestions.
That’s kind of what I was thinking as well. I will take a look tonight.

Could you connect w Plex, Netflix, Hulu, etc?
I’ve never researched Plex because I don’t have it. What would you want to see from the streaming services?
First, a sincere thank you for the effort that went into this. I’ve been enjoying some of the more subtle features that are technically accessible in the official K app but require a little more steps to get to, like being able to quickly switch between the entire library and just titles that are currently downloaded. Still having fun learning all the things you can do with it.
For the collections filter just added, it’s not returning movies in my library that are part of a collection but not currently downloaded. Is that a known limitation? When using the K browser interface I’m able to see them, so seems theoretically possible at least.

Please try the new build 86 when you get a chance. If it still isn't working right for you, please let me know if you are online on same network as player currently and if the player is awake. Thanks!
Just tested 86 and still unable to get it to work. Definitely on same network and tried with player both awake and in standby.
