Last movie watched

Watched Krull for the first time. It was a fun 80's sci-fi-fantasy, very much of the time but enjoyable. Not sure how I missed this one when it came out. The HD transfer looks good on K,, but I wish the 4K transfer that is available on disc were available to us.

I’m looking forward to this, but wish there was HDR. This appears to be quite reminiscent of The Silent Night, which also featured negligible dialogue.
Really enjoyed this. Was nervous K wasn’t going to have it since it never appeared as a preorder. I too was hoping for HDR / DV since it’s DV on iTunes / Apple.

A personal favorite of mine, and I saw it MANY times back when so it's got nostalgia all over it for me. In fact, this is one of the few movies I actually submitted a request for early in my K days. It was only HD back then but K only had SD. Imagine my surprise when Sony announced a 4K upgrade! Then, K got the HD update. Was that out of nowhere? Was my request in the pipeline for a year? Who knows with K.

I will say, adding HD after 4K is available needs to become a thing of the past (also happened with Thunderheart around the same time). If these are user requests long in the pipeline, then someone needs to check if there's newer assets. As it is, adding HD upon 4K release comes off as insulting (happened to the LAIKA movies as well). My fear is that K is evaluating sales of a 15 year-old HD master to determine whether they should get the brand new 4K. No, K, people aren't going to see a new 4K release and jump onto K to buy the HD version. This is not how you evaluate demand. :(

Checked out Magnolia yesterday since K surprised with not only 4K, but a full blown 4KC release. Appears to be an exclusive at the moment as I am not seeing on any other service in 4K either. Best the movie has ever looked!

Still a great (if maybe a little quirky) movie with a fantastic ensemble cast. Highly recommended for all the PTA fans out there.

EDIT: Looks like it is available on Fandango Now as well. Quite surprised Apple doesn't have it then.

Thanks! I hadn't noticed Magnolia got a 4K Cinematic release. Instant buy for me!

Just watched Motor City. I went in not knowing its twist. I made it through, but overall not for me

@Rooster I agree..
The movie would've kill'a if there was dialogue.
I feel that decision was a huge mistake.

I just watched Hunter Killer on K Cinematic and didn’t think the video quality was anything to write home about. The audio, on the other hand, was very impressive. Loved the Atmos audio.

Very underrated film.

The atmos is fantastic and keeps you engaged throughout.

We watched “Michael” last night and it was a lot of fun. Would have liked to have seen more songwriting and record studio scenes. But the dancing was very authentic from my 80s memories. Looked and sounded reference. Jafaar Jackson nailed the part in dancing, mannerisms and the hardest one to dial in… talking voice.

Today we watch 2002 “Spider-Man” and it has been a long time since seeing it. Some parts have held up well while others were a bit shallow plot wise. The HDR image was slightly hot with white balance but overall it had dense grain and soundtrack mix was superb.

A couple days ago we watched “Bad Guys 2” in Dolby Vision. That is a fun movie for all ages. I think it will hold up to repeat viewings. The characters are so fun. It feels like Oceans 11 with more comedy and more outlandish plot. Reference image and sound.

Really enjoyed this movie. One of the most underrated movies of the year..imho. Don’t understand why this never got a US physical release. There is a UK and German release, but unfortunately overlooked in the US. Glad that I was able to pick this up on Kscape.

Completely agree with you on this one.
The wife and I checked this one out the night and really enjoyed it.
I encourage others to watch it as well.

Watched Master and Commander in 4K Cinematic last night. Hadn’t seen it since it came out in theaters. Great film. Not a colorful film, but still looked great in Cinematic with a lot of detail.

Watched Mando and Grogu for the first time last night. Visually (admitted on my limited projector) was stunning. Great visuals, moving between aspect ratios was great. The score was fantastic. I will say this, the sound effects group seems to be lacking at Disney. There were times were I was expecting something, crashing into a table, or something dropped to the ground, and the sound fx was lacking. Nothing to do with K but Disney just felt lazy.
