Last movie watched

Watched Babygirl, by the studio A24 starring Nichole Kidman. Not too impressed with any aspect - plot, acting, and directing were all mediocre.

I haven't been too thrilled with much of anything she's done since "Just Go With It".
Probably exaggerating, but you know what I'm saying.

Just watched Warfare last night, and I have to say, it was incredibly well done. I was particularly drawn to it because I served in a similar unit, in the same area, and at the same time in Iraq. I've always felt it's tough for movies to accurately portray that experience, but Warfare absolutely delivered.

The film truly excels at immersing the viewer, giving you a visceral sense of what it was like to be there. I rarely talk about my time in Iraq, and this movie actually helped my wife understand a bit more about what I went through and the realities of that environment.

One of the most striking aspects is its real-time narrative. This is, without a doubt, the most accurate war movie I've ever seen. It brilliantly captures the entire experience by stripping away the usual Hollywood theatrics. What you expect from a typical "based on a true story" or fictional screenplay just doesn't happen here. Instead, it portrays the messy, unpredictable nature of real life in a warzone.

If you're looking for an authentic portrayal of what it was like for a Recon/Surveillance element operating deep in unfriendly territory during the height of the Iraq War insurgency, you absolutely need to see Warfare. Highly recommended.

People who have watched Warfare said that the soundtrack was pretty good. Was the soundtrack good to your hears?

Yeah, the atmos was fantastic and what you'd expect out of that genre. The sounds were pretty authentic.
The first minute or two of the movie is complete silence and I thought I was having some sort of audio drop out. I restarted the movie twice before I realized that it was just silence to start, lol.

Sunrise - what a beautifully shot movie. Great movie overall.

Just finished watchin "Companion" and I liked it much more than I expected. A special surprise at the end was an old song by Samantha Sang (written by Barry and Robin Gibb) that I really like. I even watched most of the ending credits to hear the whole song. :)

Barbarian - People being incredibly stupid and making stupid decisions, without which would negate the entire plot.

Clown In A Cornfield - Trash.

Superman (2025) - saw it IMAX on release weekend but wanted to check it out again.

MI The Final Reckoning I really enjoyed this film. I liked all of them, but this one was fantastic, well worth it IMO.
