Last movie watched

Watched Blink Twice last night. Enjoyed this psychological thriller. Slightly reminiscent of The Menu.

Thanks can’t wait.

Had a blast watching Gods of Egypt with my 16 yr old son last night.
Guilty pleasure; had some great bass during some of the scenes!

This was one of our CEDIA demo clips when it was a newer release. One of the few DTSX titles available on K.

Watched Gandhi last night for the first time. Absolutely outstanding presentation! Incredibly filmic with excellent detail, vibrant colors, and decent HDR.

Did it have the intermission in the middle? About halfway in?

I really need to watch this, I have never seen it in all my years.

I had watched it in the theaters when it first came out as a kid. I still vividly recall how it virtually swept the Oscars and broke all long standing records. I have it on bluray and the 4k which is included in the 1st Columbia set. Timeless classic. Will be doing a d2d soon.

Just watched Tucker. Wanted to check out as I had never seen it and it has 4K transfer that's digital only. Oh...that and it's on sale. 😁

Image quality was quite good with some strong HDR and notable source detail. Some love went into the transfer.
Audio however was a bit underwhelming. Felt very constrained and un-lively. It also required a good 3.5 dB increase over my norm to make dialog intelligible and even then it was still a bit reserved and flat. A strange audio mix for sure.

Movie was good though IMO. Delivery and pacing was a bit off but it was still an enjoyable watch.

I watched this movie recently as well. It's a good movie that paints a good picture of how big Detroit sabotaged a legitimate threat before it ever got to launch.

Watched Trap. I quite liked this, not one of NS’s finest but still quite captivating nonetheless. Josh Hartnett delivers a stellar performance.

Went in with tempered expectations, wasn’t disappointed. B flick, but definitely punches above its weight class. Interesting for sure. Worth a watch imo.

Finally Watched Asteroid city. Purchased a year ago, but wife wasn't interested so hadn't gotten around to watching it. Not sure what I just watched. I know what to expect out of Wes Anderson films, but either I just didn't get it or this film is simply nonsensical.

I also noticed a heavy screen door effect during one scene in the tent at around 1:25:15. It replicated. Sony xw6000es. Never seen this before. Not a big deal. Probably will never watch this title again. If someone got something out of this movie or felt differently about it, please chime in. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I kinda gravitated to it with the second viewing. The setting for this fictional Amercian desert town is absolutely stunning. I love the visual aesthetics; the rich turquoise tinted color palette with a slight technicolor bias, which seems congruent with circa 1955. The Star studded ensemble adds to the overall allure.

I will encourage a second take as it might just offer another opportunity/ perspective.

Watched Kill last night. Very good movie!
I watched it last night... wow. Intense... great movie in the "revenge-massacre" action subgenre!

I am the outlier on Kill as I could barely get through the first 15 minutes as I found it to be un-choreographed, relentless stabbing -- a far cry from John Wick. But, given other members' consensus that it was well-done, I watched it in its entirety. Unfortunately, I found it even less appealing, almost intolerably so. I even preferred The Killer with Omar Sy since there was at least some sense of character development even though it was far from John Woo's best.

I picked up the 4k steelbook as well from Amazon and watched it again. The disc includes HDR and it looks stunning. Hopefully K gets an update in the future.

One of my favorite Clint Eastwood flicks. Absolutely loved watching/ revisiting this (often forgotten) classic, last night.

Unfortunately the K version is incompatible with the V, and I refuse to entertain the SD version. Lol. Luckily, I have the Blu-ray disc (2 movie feature which also includes Firefox).

Highly recommended.

My Penguin Friend - not the best movie, but I'm a sucker for (inspired by/based on) true story movies and who doesn't love penguins!
