Kaleidescape Integration - first look

Anyone with a new Strato K having issues with the Remote 3? The Kaleidescape integration is "disconnecting" and remote becomes unresponsive during use.

Have not heard that from anyone, can you provide more detail? What do you mean by the "integration is disconnecting?" (you're asking about the Remote, but describing what sounds like the player disconnecting from "something" (Server? Display?).

Jim

Is your K set to static IP? It sounds like it's moving and the remote/integration aren't following it.

Yes - that was confusing - sorry. What I mean is the Kaleidescape Integration on the Web Configurator depicts the Kaleidescape integration or device as "disconnected" even though the Strato K is connected and "on". Fix is to unplug the Strato K player, wait 60 seconds, and replug. Then restart the other devices/activities and then it works for about 30 minutes to 1 hour before "disconnecting" and the remote is unresponsive. I have noticed that the remote "ball" at the upper right corner of the remote display is continuously bouncing back and forth, but haven't been able to coincide the two issues (and I am not exactly sure what that means).

EDIT: The issue is with the Remote 3 and/or the UC Kaleidescape integration. The Strato K player continues to function normally via the Kaleidescape app during the periods that the Remote 3 and the Strato K player are not communicating. Rebooting the Remote 3 temporarily fixes the issue. The problem can be initiated by navigating to a movie, starting the movie, stopping the moving, back to title screen, start new movie, etc., and within 5 minutes, the player is no longer accessible. Overnight, rebooting the remote no longer resolves the connection, the remote's Web Configurator shows the K-scape integration as "disconnected," and a reboot of both the Kaleidescape player and the remote are required. The K-scape app can "wake" the player from stand-by, but the remote cannot.

EDIT 2: Incidentally, Home Assistant (HA) entities that use the Kaleidescape player's state to trigger lighting scenes are also not working.

EDIT 3: This issue was resolved with the help of @jayjsea and Kaleidescape technical support. John suggested that I rollback to version 1 of the Kaleidescape integration. I reinstalled version 1.08 and everything is working splendidly again.

Since two networked systems are having trouble, I’d recommend unplugging and re-plugging the network cable from the Strato K to the network switch. One of the ends may not be seated correctly causing the intermittent connection issue.

Thanks - Yes I have tried that many times along with trying different Ethernet and HDMI cables.
