Crikey I won't be bothering with that.Warner reaches a new high! Goodness…..

"Barbie" has become Warner's highest grossing global release of all time, edging out "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," and it's not done with theatrical yet. What!!?? $44.99!! Talk about not caring about your customers.
Just the same here. It just wouldn't feel right. not sure what they are thinking. The more they ask, the less I'm willing to pay.
Paramount's typical $25 pre-order is a no-brainer for me. It's automatic. Warner likes me to wait until a sale. But at this rate, I'll just watch it on my free MAX subscription and they won't get anything above my AT&T mobile plan.
I really want to see it, but I refuse to pay their ransom.
How soon we forget that a new movie on VHS would cost, like, $100!Just the same here. It just wouldn't feel right. not sure what they are thinking.
I remember it well but I didn't buy them either Had the VHS machine but just used it for recordings. I was tempted by The first Superman movie but decided to buy a house insteadHow soon we forget that a new movie on VHS would cost, like, $100!
Yeah, it’s a very good movie. If they offered it for $24.99 (like it is on iTunes) I’m sure a lot of people would buy it on K. $44.99 is just insulting."Barbie" has become Warner's highest grossing global release of all time, edging out "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," and it's not done with theatrical yet.
It's a cash grab. They don't want to pay actors and writers to make new movies, so they have to feed the C-suite somehow.Yeah, it’s a very good movie. If they offered it for $24.99 (like it is on iTunes) I’m sure a lot of people would buy it on K. $44.99 is just insulting.
Oh I don't disagree that the price is bananas! It'll drop eventually. I can wait.Yeah, it’s a very good movie. If they offered it for $24.99 (like it is on iTunes) I’m sure a lot of people would buy it on K. $44.99 is just insulting.
I’m sure this is stated somewhere but if you preorder at $39.99 you can’t be charged $44.99?
Honestly, I don't feel insulted. My alternative is to take my family of four to see this movie in the theater, which all in is over $100. I have zero doubt that if I want to wait a month or three this will be $25 or whatever. But if I want to watch it now and be part of the zeitgeist discussion about the movie, maybe $45 makes sense. It's an experiment - they'll see how many people will pay for an early-ish home release of a white hot movie.Yeah, it’s a very good movie. If they offered it for $24.99 (like it is on iTunes) I’m sure a lot of people would buy it on K. $44.99 is just insulting.
Even crazier that it was $100 in 80's/90's money and it still sounds like a lot for a movie now.How soon we forget that a new movie on VHS would cost, like, $100!
