How about Live at Pompeii while they are at it? I believe it is similarly not available in 4k on disc, only via streaming?
 
This thread got me thinking… is 4k streaming going to be an improvement over physical Bluray or HD download from Kaleidescape? I see that iTunes Store has Delicate Sound of Thunder and Live at Pompeii in 4k available to stream from my Apple TV.

At some point, maybe I’ll try a test comparison. Probably not now. I’m getting ready to replace my Epson 3800 which I’ve had for about 4 years with an LS 12000. I suspect any differences will be more noticeable with an upgraded projector.

TLDR; Pink Floyd's concerts on streaming will look great but won't sound great.

From a video perspective, streaming can deliver a pretty good product nowadays. Enough that a clear majority of people couldn't tell the difference. Obviously, most people in this forum will be in that minority that can see a difference but I think you'll generally find its not considered significant. And, if comparing a 4K stream with HDR color grading vs. 1080p SDR Blu-rays, it can be a toss up or even favor the stream.

Now audio is a completely different story. There is usually a noticeable drop is audio quality on a digital stream that a substantial amount of people can pick up on. It's true that with good audio calibration you can probably pump up the stream a bit to be more comparable, but the fact remains that a disc should always sound better than a stream. Everyone hopes that one day one of the services will either update audio to lossless or offer a premium level that does so. I'd imagine the market for that is pretty small, but I'd love to see it.
