I'm thrilled to see Hard Boiled in 4K! Instant purchase. This is such a great action movie, an early John Woo film. I don't believe it's been released in 4K before, and it doesn't even seem like it's on disc either. Shout's press release says The Killer is coming July 22 to digital as well. I'll insta-purchase that too.

Was bummed that we didn’t see the new 4K release of The Way of the Gun from Lionsgate this week. I see it is out on other digital platforms.

Rick and Morty: The Anime (Season 1) (2024) in HD from Warner Bros

This just saved me $150 on buying the now OOP Blu-ray. $3.14 for D2D!

Yeah, I really wish K monitored stuff like this more closely. There are some movies that are readily available digitally that go for big money on discontinued discs. Or, things available digitally in the US that you have to order from overseas (Cube? Timecrimes?). K could rack up a ton of "exclusives" like this for what is often just (likely cheaper) HD licenses.

Disney used to have a line of discs only available physically through their Movie Club, but available digitally. The club is now shut down and discs often sell for over $100 each. K actually has a lot of these (Black Hole, Black Cauldron, Darby O'Gill, etc.), but they're missing some of the most in demand titles like Return to Oz (capitalize on Wicked?) or the final Disney Animated Classics (no, K doesn't have them all) of Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos.

The Henson TV Series "The Storyteller" was made available digitally by Shout! last year in HD, but is just now making its way to disc in Australia and the UK. Claiming "First time on Blu-ray!" and finally delivering the highest quality product. Collectors are not only paying for this, but paying to import these discs. Meanwhile, K could have been offering this for the last year. (With the recent re-release of the Henson films, dare we hope?)

I realize a lot of this is coming from a physical collector perspective, but there's a lot of stuff out there that people are spending money on. That has to be an indication that K owners would buy it too, no? Meanwhile, it seems that I can predict what titles K passes on by seeing what discs are currently selling out...

I've owned this disc for at least 15years. Why does this one say "2025"?

I believe what you own is Walking with Dinosaurs: The Movie (2013) at 87 min from 20th Century, which was based on the BBC documentary. The above is the full BBC Mini Series at 300 min.

This is a brand new mini-series produced in 2025. The original series was produced in 1999 and isn't available on K, hence the potential confusion. (Other digital stores have both so you see them together when searching.)

Thank you, yes. I've had that documentary since almost then (with the PIP extras showing how they made dinosaur poop).

When I catalogued it, I was really disappointed that only that movie was available.

Thanks again!

Sister Midnight (2024) in HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Magnolia Pictures

I pre-ordered Thunderbolts which releases tomorrow and is downloaded to my system. Do these typically become available at midnight or sometime in the AM? If midnight what time zone? Thanks.

Midnight Pacific Time. However, it involves an update that goes out so it could be slightly delayed; similar to new releases (I find the K Store has usually fully updated by 12:30am-12:40am). I wouldn't actually plan a midnight viewing or you might get frustrated with a brief wait.

Thanks. Looking forward to re-watching this and the kids have not seen it yet. Saw it in the theater and it was excellent. While I was at it I ordered Ballerina. Never saw it or even read much about it but I love John Wick and well it has Ana De Armas. Can't be bad.

YES! Been quietly crossing my fingers for this to arrive.

If you don't know Swamp Dogg, I highly recommend listening to "Total Destruction to Your Mind" and "RAT ON!" and then watching this.

Swamp Dogg changed his name to get out of a crappy record deal decades before Prince did the same thing.
