US BR & 4K Releases for September & October 2025e

Chicago P.D. (Season 11) (2024) in SD from NBCUniversal

Architecton (2024) in UHD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from A24 Films
FYI, Architecton is 4K SDR on K but 4K HDR/Dolby Vision on all other digital stores.

Just in case anyone was wondering if that kind of thing was still happening. :(

It really bothers me that I pre-ordered this title for $30 and after the system downloaded the movie, I find out that there is a bundle for $34.99. 😡 Now I have to pay an additional $14.99 to get the other title that is only $4 extra had I bought the bundle instead?!!

How did I miss this bundle? How could I prevent this mishap in the future? Can Kscape send out a notification to us, informing us that a pre-ordered title in our account qualifies for a bundle deal?
I agree - if you buy a movie on preorder and it comes out same day in a set, you should be able to do the "complete you set" function and only pay the difference... else you've found a penalty for those pre-ordering titles that will definitely make me think twice about pre-ordering vs. waiting until release day/week.

While not to diminish once-is-too-much, but isn't this sort of situation extremely rare? Usually new titles are in their own little world, so that the price can be maximized for a time after release. Sure, Warner titles can occasionally (but less often recently) fall down to reality in sales within 2-4 weeks, but the only other title I can think of with an even remotely quick set inclusion was Deadpool Wolverine (my recollection is Dune 2 took at least a month.)

Weapons sounded fantastic at the Odeon iSense Dolby Atmos cinema here in the UK—I really enjoyed it. Hopefully, it will sound just as good on the K release. Recently, I’ve been disappointed with F1 and How to Train Your Dragon on K, as the bass in both felt too soft compared to the cinema experience.

Causeway (2022) in DV/HDR/UHD/HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Sony Pictures

Twin Towers: Legacy (2025) in UHD/HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Lionsgate

After We Collided (2020) in HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Shout Factory

Chicago P.D. (Season 12) (2024) SD from NBCUniversal

Wow, Weapons is already available?? Gotta love that K!

The Amazon pre-order for The Sound of Music is live, for those double-dippers out there!

I share your pain from the other side. I purchased the original and the bundle seemed to come out right after.

Elmo's Happy Halloween Party (2025) in HD with PCM Stereo from Shout Factory

Ok folks! K has now had a bigger Halloween in 2025 than 2024! Whoo-hoo!

It's funny until you realize it's true.

Chicago Med (Season 10) (2024) in SD from NBCUniversal

Chicago Med (Season 10) (2024) in SD from NBCUniversal
This is one of those releases that give us a peek behind the curtain of licensing. NBC licenses this series digitally in HD as you'll find on other stores. But, K only gets them in SD. While I'd normally jump to "Why doesn't K get HD like everyone else?," we learned that PBS basically licenses products to K in the quality they release physically and not what's available elsewhere digitally. I'm inclined to think that's the case here with NBC also.

Pre-order

The Comeback (Seasons 1 & 2) in SD from Warner.

I would love this, but won't get it in SD. I really do not understand how any studio thinks offering SD only in 2025 makes any sense.

Same. I bought one SD movie on K to see how it looked. The quality was so bad on my screen I couldn't watch it. Will not buy any other SD content.

This is another valid data point for the other thread on this forum of how Kscape is missing the mark on the "ultimate experience" tagline.

I don't care what Lumagen or MadVR or any other processor you have, SD will still look like trash when it's viewed on a large screen. This flaw completely takes you out of the experience.

There have been several personal instances where I was excited to see a film on Kscape, just to be let down when I found out it was in SD. And what's also a slap in the face is that the same titles are in HD and higher on "lesser" platforms like Netflix and Fandago.

For me, no matter how much I enjoy a title, the mere convenience on KScape does not justify it being in SD. JUST PAY THE DOG GONE LICENSING FEE!!! I don't care if you pass on the incurred costs to me, I will still buy it because I CHOSE to enter the Kscape ecosystem.

Agree. I have a Lumagen and it does nothing to make SD look watchable on my screen. There are some films on K in SD that I would love to buy. I would also be fine paying just a bit more if they were at least in HD (4K may be too much to ask for).
