US BR & 4K Releases for September & October 2025e

I assume there is still no hope of getting Shin Godzilla (or other Godzilla movies) on Kaleidescape anytime soon?
Correct, handled by Toho directly. Shin Godzilla is not currently in digital distribution at all, having been previously removed from all digital stores. Hopefully Toho gets it back out there after the new disc release, but that won't help K which doesn't have a contract with them.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Director's Cut added in 4K SDR/HDR with Dolby Atmos from Paramount:

Time Machine (1960) added in HD with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 from Warner:

I just saw! Your dream has come true!

Instabuy.

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires added in HD with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 from Warner:
Unfortunately, another subpar release to the K Store. This has become standard for Warner Animation where 4K Dolby Vision titles are added in HD. I'm sure K has the sales data to show that there is an acceptable drop in sales from 4K to HD and this release is "good enough" for the limited audience. I'm not of the same mind and would rather the title not appear, but here we are.

It is October 30th and you are rushing to make sure a popular movie series from the 80s and 90s makes it to the store. Could it be the new 4K versions of Nightmare on Elm Street just in the nick of time…. Oh no, it is Police Academy!! I’m sure that was on a ton of bingo cards. Nothing like getting a big dump of HD catalog hot cakes especially when 4 of the 5 actually score a whopping 0 RT score!! Yikes.

Picking up on the topic of Paramount's digital releases of boutique 4K discs randomly appearing on mysterious dates...

At some point Barbarella 4K Dolby Vision was released digitally by Paramount (former Arrow disc exclusive). I only noticed it this week, but it could've been weeks or months. Classic title, deserves a place on K. Let's see if we can get this one out of the backlog: movies@kaleidescape.com

I have to say, you have very catholic tastes, @LoveCinema . Or is it just a matter of wanting a complete catalog on K?
