Strato V black screen and audio cutout issues

Hmmm. Maybe since the firmware update that doesn’t work anymore. What if you exit the movie and resume it?
I tried that as well and then it didn’t have resume option so had to go searching to where I was. :cautious:

Just finished watching Didi (Dolby Vision) with a Marantz Cinema 60.. had about 10 or so blackout flashes throughout the movie. One audio cutout for about 2-3 seconds. Is anyone aware if they're working on a fix?

I have seen the black screen pop up about 4 times into Mission Impossible 6 so far about 30 minutes in.
Just an update the black screen has appeared at least 12 times now, watching a MI6 still that is Dolby Vision and downloading American Gangster. Hopefully this is a known bug.

I think that resume issue not being there is a known bug.

Getting worse up to 25 times even when I paused my download. Does Kscape collect analytics on our devices? If not do we just email for support?

Why doesn't my Denon X6700H recognize a Kaleidescape Dolby Vision title as Dolby Vision? The TV will recognize the DV as being active, but the AVR does not? The titles I was watching is Iron Man UHD. Very strange!

Yikes, you have that dreaded neon pink details as well.

Can you play any HDR10 title and see if it is captured correctly?

I have same exact problem with Denon 4700. Also when you try to open the AVR setting page, TV screen goes black. However, TV does detect DV and seems to process the movie correctly.

How do you force HDR10 over DV?
High dynamic Range format under advance settings: choose prefer HDR10.

You also have the ability (on certain titles) to delete the movie and then select the HDR10 version, when you redownload.

I’m certain K scape will have a firmware update to resolve these issues. They are a solid company. I believe that Mike K mentioned another update coming but no timeline. Remember it’s important to let the support team know so they can investigate and help with the appropriate fix.

Thanks good advice

I would also highly suggest that you have an active HDMI cable with a longer run. 6’ or less im running passive. Pixelgen to the tv is a 25’ run active. When I swapped that cable all my issues minus the neon pink OSD went away.
