Question for you: Why should that movie be a "strong seller"? I know that you like it, but why would a 1978 horror movie be a strong seller for someone that buys into the K system. People born in 78 or after are likely not be aware of the movie. A lot of folks here on the forum like niche movies, but that's probably not the case for the majority of folks that buy into K.I don't understand why the 1978 John Carpenter Movie, Halloween is not on K-scape. Other digital services have it in 4K and/or HD, so it shouldn't be a licensing issue. Shout Factory and Lionsgate released them on disc and both work with K-scape. IMO, this is a HUGE hole in their movie library. This should be a strong seller on K-scape. I really enjoy K-scape and I understand they can't offer everything, but a popular movie that all other digital services offer, should definitely be in their inventory.
As a side note, Halloween 2 (1980) is on K-scape in SD, other digital services it's in HD.
With the Halloween season approaching, this would be the perfect time to offer it....any thoughts?
It's a classic quintessential Halloween Season Movie. Jaws, Godfather, Alien, Star Wars, Rocky, Raiders From the Lost Ark, etc.. are also movies from the 70's and they not only sell well, but are also movies wanted by "niche" and other movie buyers. What makes you think people born in 1978 or after are not aware of the movie? I'll bet every K-scape owner is well aware of the movie and many would like to own it.Question for you: Why should that movie be a "strong seller"? I agree. Halloween is not a niche movie. And like The Exorcist, is a classic horror movie that most people are familiar with, even if they have not seen it. I hope it comes to K in 4K soon.I don't understand why the 1978 John Carpenter Movie, Halloween is not on K-scape. To be fair, My Best Friend's Wedding is one of the very early 4K SDR titles that Sony provided to K at the launch of the Strato players, predating the 4K release of these titles in most other places. In general all of these movies were later released on disc by Sony with cleaned up the masters, 4K color grading, etc. Other digital stores updated, K has not opted for these as yet. There are a few really strange holes in the K collection. "Halloween" is definitely one. I feel like "Rosemary's Baby" is another. But "My Best Friend's Wedding" is in 4K. Yes people may like MBFW, but does that warrant 4K over the other two?
There's some kind of rule inside K that prevents them from "finishing" things.I wonder why some TV series are missing seasons. For instance, 12 Monkeys Season 1 and 2 are available but not Season 3 and 4. Last Ship has first four seasons available but not the fifth one. Last Kingdom's all five seasons were released elsewhere, but on Kaleidescape there are only first four seasons available.
Add BSG to that listThanks for the feedback.
Another thing I would like to see is a box set price for a completed series. I saw only one: The Vikings. But it would be nice to have that option for Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, Babylon 5, Fringe, etc.
I wonder if its one of those things where the person at K that was tasked with getting or following up on adding the additional seasons or parts for a tv series left K and either that person's position wasn't filled or the new person didn't know where the last person left things. There's some kind of rule inside K that prevents them from "finishing" things.
But, yeah, it's super annoying. One must assume that the earlier seasons didn't sell well and the later seasons weren't a priority. Or, maybe they were just overlooked. I remember when K got a Part Two of a show when they didn't (yet) have Part One. Or, they recently added a ton of AMC series getting all the seasons for all the shows except for one show they only got one out of two seasons. Just baffling.

Does it matter? No disrespect, but I don't see how this level of speculation helps any.I wonder if its one of those things where the person at K that was tasked with getting or following up on adding the additional seasons or parts for a tv series left K and either that person's position wasn't filled or the new person didn't know where the last person left things.
Speculating is fun....but yeah I don't know what the situation. I'm just saying that something like what I said could be one of numerous reasons why some of things may fall thru the cracks.Does it matter? No disrespect, but I don't see how this level of speculation helps any.
I whole-heartedly second this one. Baffling. The Acorn Series The Fall in HD. Kaleidescape has Seasons 1 and 3 but not Season 2.
