Store "Hole" Feedback

Added in HD with DTS-HD MA 5.1 from Eagle Rock:

John

Another hole filled - from Stadium Media in HD with PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1:

John

Uncharted is up for pre-order in US store but not Canada.

Uncharted has now been posted to CAN store, but Morbius is not. Maybe there is a gap in the process for uploading preorders for CAN store because CAN gets all the new titles the same date as US.

CAN store is also missing Moonfall but we have it on Amazon prime.

There seems to be a problem with “Moonfall” availability in Canada:

Key Quote: “The only problem: Moonfall is not opening at any Canadian theatre this weekend. Nor will it be available on-demand. Moonfall is simply bypassing Canadian audiences entirely.”

This was from February and I couldn’t find anything else to see if this has changed.

John

Thanks, that’s odd as I’m able to access it on Canadian Amazon prime video. Maybe they made it a service exclusive?

Yes, there have been a number of posts pointing these out in the past. I personally am waiting for Lawrence of Arabia to be added in HDR.

John

Bit gutted that there is no sign of a UHD atmos versions of Saving Private Ryan or similar for Gravity on K. Assume we are in the hands of the studios/distributors but they are 2 of many I was looking forward to adding. Will keep my fingers crossed.

I purchased Doctor Sleep this week, and was disappointed to find that it did not come with the Director's cut. This is included in both the physical disc and Movies Anywhere etc.

Lots of additions from Eagle Rock today and few more empty slots in my vault as a result :) post #12 updated

Updating a few of my content requests:

  • Full Bruce Lee films (we have 2)
  • Broader Godzilla era films, Criterion did the original era boxset so that might be blocked, but the latter eras titles could be available?
  • 1980's G.I. Joe movie from Shout Factory (to go with Transformers)
  • More 4K/HDR updates to the DC animated films which tend to launch in the store in HD only and stay that way

After watching ‘Enter the Dragon’ again the other day, it reminded me of how little Bruce Lee content is available. Here is another vote for more of his movies in the K Store.

A single Bruce Lee movie is in the store "Enter the Dragon".

His other four films appear to be rights held my Miramax and there's a web of rights related to Miramax properties. I'm not sure if this counts as a new studio or not technically since it could be complicated rights, but having all 5 Bruce Lee films would be awesome.

The Big Boss
Fist of Fury
The Way of the Dragon
The Game of Death

These are elsewhere digitally in HD and have had a few BD releases. Criterion though is preparing a 5 film boxset now too.

Fist of Fury has just been added in HD with DTS-HD MA Stereo(Mandarin) & DTS-HD MA 5.1(English) from Paramount

I believe a couple of Bruce Lee films have been released on 4K UHD Blu-ray in France some years ago. I remember passing on them because they didn’t have English subtitles. While at it, K should get these 4K masters.

There is a lot missing from Shout and Kino on the store. I don’t know if it is a licensing thing.

I looked it up now. Japan and France got 4 Bruce Lee films in 4K in 2020 and 2018 respectively. I believe Criterion used these 4K masters for their 2K release.
