Movie Updates

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) from Paramount updated to include UHD with Dolby TrueHD Atmos

Skimming the most watched in 2025 lists, checked on a lark, and appears Tron: Ares is now packing the BD extras.

Awesome! It saves me looking for another source! I'll likely make the purchase sooner. Although sometimes I end up finding additional materials well beyond the disc extras.

Happy movie viewing!

Will we get Rush in 4kHDR and Atmos? Shout factory has a disc release of this
As a general rule, no. The vast majority of Shout’s 4K titles are licensed for physical only. Shout has been stepping up their digital game following their acquisition last year, so there may be a tiny shred of hope down the road.

Spider-Man 2 (2004) HDR version updated
  • Added audio track: English (PCM Stereo)

Diamonds Are Forever (1971) HDR version updated
  • Audio and video improvements

Diamonds Are Forever (1971) in HD from MGM updated to include Dolby TrueHD Atmos

I noticed on a few Connerys, SDR has Lowry credit, HDR doesnt. So assume all the SDR's are from old Lowry masters and only the HDR has got the "new remaster" ?

Eddington HDR (2025) updated with audio and video improvements:

The King's Man (2021) HDR version updated.
  • Added extras (In HD as separate download)
  • Video quality improvements

Notice that it says only video quality improvements and not video and audio quality improvements. Maybe an update to the store.

The old version of this movie was very wrong, with incorrect brightness, so this was probably corrected, but I haven't checked yet. However, those KS update notes about what was changed are essentially useless.

For example, you reported the Spider-Man 2 update, and the notes mentioned only “added audio track,” yet there was a major upgrade in video quality, as I documented in my quality-check thread.

Yes. Very strange that Spider-Man 2 was not noted as a video update.

The update notes does not say much but I think the info is sufficient to 95% of their users.

Thank you for all your enthusiastic, detailed work and answers in your thread.

Angels & Demons (2009) HDR version updated
  • Added audio track: English (PCM Stereo)

Paranorman (2012) in HD from Shout Factory updated to Dolby TrueHD Atmos from DTS-HD Master 5.1

1408 (2007) HD version updated
  • Audio and video improvements

Groundhog Day (1993) HDR version updated
  • Added audio track: English (PCM Stereo)

From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) HD version updated
  • Additional audio tracks (French DTS-HD MA 5.1, English PCM Stereo, Spanish PCM Stereo)
  • Additional subtitle tracks (English (Deaf and Hard-of-hearing), English, French, Spanish)

Bugonia (2025) HDR updated with audio and video improvements.

Sigh...

While it's obviously a good thing for KScape to be improving things, it is quite frustrating to buy and then watch a very new release, and then find out I didn't have the best audio/video quality.

Catching up with older catalogue titles is fine, but I don't think it's unreasonable for us to expect new titles to be correct from the get-go. Maybe I'm just getting increasingly grumpy, but this does bother me.
