Movie Updates

Honestly, if they are really close to fixing the Luma resolution issue, I would hope at some point they would stop releasing Cinematic titles until that fix is in place, otherwise you are just looking at more and more updates that need to be pushed. So hopefully it is a sign that the fix is imminent, or maybe it is just Monday and they are holding things off until tomorrow when they do all the other movie additions.
I would have stopped them so we wouldn’t have to do double the work but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can’t believe The Revenant just got updated to cinematic. 🍻🍻

The Revenant has never been available in Dolby Vision that I can find (digital or disc). Apple has it in HDR10+ which appears to be unique with all other digital and physical sources limited to HDR10.

I watched about 30 minutes of Revenant in HDR 10 Cinematic (not my favorite flavor of Cinematic as I prefer Cinematic DV but as others have corrected me there is no DV Version of Revenant out there) and I can categorically state that this is THE BEST Version of Revenant I have ever watched.
And I have every version and have professional gear in my Cinema to give my observation and the first 15 minutes has been my test movie for last many years. Every time I get new gear or make any changes to my Video and Audio chain and/or calibration I watch this to observe the improvement.
I have also watched this movie on my OLED to compare how it looks as compared to my Projector Lumagen combo and one big improvement I have seen is the picture quality is obvious that the banding on the sky in the opening scene of this version is almost non existent - I see a very tiny banding only for a few seconds when the scene moves from sky to next (this is first 5 minutes of the movie of so) - the picture quality of the movie overall is Pristine.
And I have been flamed for stating the the Strato K has better audio than any previous Kaleidescape device, in this version the audio is superior to any version I have seen - in the opening scene I could hear birds from sorround speakers for the first time clearly, the audio is very revealing. The gun shot when Leonard shoots the Deer has never sounded the way this version in my system to my ears.
Not sure what probes and graphs show - but clearly this is a beautiful picture and audio to my eyes and ears and I look forward to my rewatch this weekend.
