Tayloe had mentioned it about a month ago in one of the other threads but this is the official announcement. The other part is 4kc going from 110 to 120 which I don’t think had been mentioned. This seems like a pretty big deal. I hadn't seen this anywhere else or am I missing something? Regular 4K titles will now have a higher bitrate than normal, higher than 4K discs.

iirc, I ripped Atomic Blonde and when I played the rip back over the network to the OPPO I had at the time, it was doing around 100Mb/s.I thought a lot of UHD discs are actually higher bit rate than 60. If true that makes these graphs quite an exaggeration.
I have almost 1800 4K discs catalogued on a monster spreadsheet. Average video bitrate (including DV layers when present) is 66.2 Mbps. K Marketing isn't far off. Extreme cases for discs are Trolls at 30 and Misery at 100.I thought a lot of UHD discs are actually higher bit rate than 60. If true that makes these graphs quite an exaggeration.
The 4K disc of Atomic Blonde's total bitrate averages 65.9 Mbps. Video alone averages 54.3 Mbps.iirc, I ripped Atomic Blonde and when I played the rip back over the network to the OPPO I had at the time, it was doing around 100Mb/s.
One user here on the forum looked it up in his network switch. I think that´s a pretty good approach to get player independant bitrate information.
