FIOS 2 Gig upgrade?

I have a Terra Prime SSD at home, and I download at ~2.3Gbps, which is essentially maxing out the 2.5Gbps port on the Terra Prime when you factor in TCP overhead. I have 10Gbps fiber. This is just to say that we're able to deliver content at very high speed.

Every time I read about your connection, I cry a little bit more inside.
There is now hope though. I've been knocking on the door for a decade and finally can see the light where I may have a 1gbps connection over coax soon.

It’s barely been 3 weeks since I upgraded to 2 gig and I’m already getting daily emails urging me to upgrade to their new 7 gig.

I get 2.5 gig speeds on frontier, Download time on the V is anywhere between 7-10 mins (11-14 for larger files).

Thanks do you have regular terra prime or ssd version? I think spinning hard drives have slower max write speeds so many not fully utilize 2gig speed.

Thanks. I'm trying to understand if non-ssd server has speed limitation as spinning HDDs have typically slower write speed. I can't download at full 2gig speed on my NAS with spinning HDD but I can with my MacBook with ssd.

I get speeds between 925-950.

That's right. The spinning-drive Terra Primes will go faster than a gigabit, but they can't max out the port like the SSD can.

Are there any stats on the max download/write speed for non-ssd terra? I get about ~1.4gig download speed on my NAS drives but hard drive that K uses may have different result.

I am considering adding a Terra prime and faster download is a factor (even though I don't need it).
