According to a CEPro article: [I]"Kaleidescape is finally introducing new and exciting gear after a bit of a dry spell ... if you believe the PR folks, who tell us this: Kaleidescape will unveil major new products that will ship later this year, adding to its line of high-end movie players and...

Managed Copy Demo Video from CEDIA - note: not Kaleidescape

So here is the first demo I've seen for MC: http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/10/video-frist-working-blu-ray-managed-copy-demo/#continued Notice one little point I hadn't seen mentioned before at about 50 seconds into the video: "....the only thing it's allowed to copy is the movie, it's not...

Automatic music playlist creation by mood or similar artists/song?

Ok, this may sound odd to folks who have never experienced it before. What if you could have a music playlist created for you without having to choose each song/album/artist/etc to be added to it? Instead, you could specify the mood you were looking for in combination with a specific genre...

    Web UI Improvements

Anyone else interested in seeing the Web UI improved? I mentioned this in another thread, so I'll just paste those comments here: "Personally though, and I've made this suggestion directly to K, I think they should overhaul the Web UI. I'd like to see more done for music playback on both the...

1TB consumer desktop drives finally shipping - hopefully K won't be too far behind

Well, this is what I have been waiting for. Hopefully, the wait between general consumer desktop drive availability and K drive availability of the same size won't be as long as it was for 750GB drives (about 6 months between the 2 last year if I remember right). Once K offers 1TB drives, I'll...

    Music zone linking?

I'm wondering if anyone else thinks this would be a useful improvement. As it stands now, you can have music playback through any Movie Player and of course through the 4-zone Music Player. However, you can't link zones so that they are simultaneously playing the same thing at the same time...

Anyone else hook a player up to a Slingbox (or other placeshifter)?

Now, I may be ultra geeky, but I hooked up my Slingbox to one of my movie players a few months back after getting the SlingMobile Beta software. It's a pretty cool way to have access to your collection on the go since K can't really do this themselves. I have a Treo 700w through Verizon with...

    Music Playback Improvement Suggestions

Ok, I'll be up front in saying that I don't use Music all that much. We've already discussed the AMG database issues and need for better manual entry tools in another thread. What I'd like to talk about here is how Music in general could be improved. Here are a few thoughts I have to start...
