Ok, this may sound odd to folks who have never experienced it before. What if you could have a music playlist created for you without having to choose each song/album/artist/etc to be added to it? Instead, you could specify the mood you were looking for in combination with a specific genre. Additionally, you could just specify one song or artist you liked and wanted a playlist to be built using similar artists or tracks.
This can be done now. If you'd like to try something like it, check out Pandora:

That example takes the idea and applies it to the creation of customized streaming radio stations in an effort to have a channel playing music that is just what you want. This can also be done for a digital library of music you have at home and AMG offers it as a service.
Basically, they use programs to analyze music along with humans who fine tune the analysis to create a database of how different songs relate to each other. When applied to your music collection, it lets you create the above playlists using your own music with just a few clicks. A company called Qsonix is already offering this feature in their music server. Qsonix uses AMG for music guide data just like K does. They're also the first company to jump onboard with AMG's "Tapestry" playlist creation feature.
See Qsonix's description of it here:
"Tapestry powered Playlist Builder
Quickly and easily create personally tailored playlists of any length based on hundreds of styles, themes and moods with only a few screen taps. This addictive capability enables Qsonix owners to enjoy a personally tailored music experience for any mood or situation. Personalize (Rediscover) your music on your own terms with Qsonix."
"Tapestry powered Find/Play Similar
Instantly play ?similar? songs with a single button press to keep the vibe flowing for any musical occasion. This innovative capability allows Qsonix users to instantly listen to similar sounding music based on hundreds of styles, tones and themes, hand profiled by AMG?s expert music staff."
See AMG's info page on Tapestry here:

They also have a demo here:
http://tapestry.allmusic.com/
You can't play any of the music via the demo but it shows you the kind of playlists that can be created from a phantom library of music.
Anyone else want to see K add this? I definitely do.
