Strato K - latest backlog status & shipping info

I ordered a Strato K last week and was very excited to have it installed this coming Monday.
However I was told today by my dealer that none of Strato K players that were ordered by any of their other clients were shipped.
Anyone know the reason why KScape is not shipping the Strato K players?
 
Demand for Strato K has been extremely high, and we pretty rapidly sold through all of the inventory that was available at launch. More are being built as quickly as possible and additional shipments have been going out as that inventory arrives, but there is definitely a backlog. I think your dealer should be able to inquire as to where in the queue the orders that they've placed currently are.

The good news is that you have your order in, which means that it is in that queue. It will likely be some time before we reach the point of having inventory on hand.

I'm sorry for the disappointment, but I hope you'll think it's worth it once the player arrives!

True… i ordered the K this week and i was told it will be 5 to 6 weeks until delivery.
But no stress, hope by then they upgraded movies like 1917 , the revenant , guy’s ritchies the convenant and lone survivor to name a few
I am patient (but expect a lot… lol)

Try Best Buy. I walked in on Tuesday and just picked mine up last night
 
I’m in Baltimore and the earliest that it seems is 1 1/2 to 2 months before I can get the K…any tricks?

Seems like this is going to be huge in this home Theater Market!

Demand for Strato K has far exceeded our initial projections, and we sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm you and your customers have shown for this product. As a result of this demand, we are currently experiencing a backorder situation across our dealer network.
Current fulfillment estimates are as follows:

  • Existing orders already in the system: approximately one to two months from date of payment
  • New orders placed at this time: approximately two to three months from date of payment


Please be assured that all orders are being fulfilled in the sequence in which they were received and paid for. There is no need for concern regarding order priority, as this process is being applied consistently and fairly across all dealers.
We recognize that these timelines may affect how you manage expectations with your customers, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause. We are actively working to improve our inventory pipeline and will provide further updates as the situation progresses.

I've been banging the drum in my podcasts and videos that the lead times have only been increasing as demand is so high. There's going to be even more demand, I believe, once the K gets shown off at Audio Advice Live, CEDIA, MWAVE, and more public opportunities coming up. Then we are right into holiday spending windows too.

It's a fitting analogy I think, something like the best time to plant a tree was 20 years. The best time to buy a Strato K was 4 weeks ago. LOL. The next best is now.
 
I ordered mine 7/3 and I’m very excited for it to come in. Tomorrow my two SVS PB17 ultras will be here to replace my two pb4000s… I’m looking forward to burning up some movies 🤘🏼
 
Thanks to Hawk for the backlog info. My Strato K is being installed TODAY! Right now! Woo hoo! I have some other upgrades happening today as well, which may carry over into tomorrow, so I may not be able to actually do much with it until tomorrow afternoon. I have already downloaded about 10 movies in cinematic format and can’t wait to watch them. REALLY glad I ordered when I did.
 
I ordered the Strato K on 7/3 from World Wide Stereo, it was going to be my first Kaleidoscape product, and just got the email from them it’s been delayed 2-3 months… sigh

Not sure whether to cancel and get a Strato V in the meantime or wait
