Just Ordered a “V”

TP-Link Deco BE95 BE33000 Quad-Band WiFi 7 Mesh System

On sale Amazon. Free returns if it doesn’t solve your problems.
So I think I’ll pick this WiFi 7 system up. I currently have an older Eero 6 system. How easy will it be to swap out the Eero for the Deco system?

I have 1gig to the router in the attic but the V is hooked via Ethernet to a satellite on my Eero mesh system.
I don´t fully understand what you´re saying here:
You say you habe a 1Gig cable from the V location to the main router in the attic, but why is your V not connected to that?
I´m completely with @DLCPhoto on that: if possible, always go for a wired connection all the way.

I understand that a direct wired connection would be ideal I don’t currently have any way to run a wired connection from the attic to the home theater on the first floor of the house…
My current older WiFi 6 setup only delivers around 300 to the mesh satellite connected to the V even though I get 1 gb from the line in in the attic.

Ah, got it now. (y)
OK, in that case, a wifi upgrade would help, agree.

So now my question is, do I need to spend big $$ to get optimized connection to the satellite I’ll put near the V or will a lesser priced WiFi 7 setup suffice?

In other words, this:

Vs this:

The 3300 during prime day sale would have been the best way to go. I’d buy the 11000 from Costco for $350 on sale and try it. Very easy setup with app.

Just for shiggles - have you tried connecting the V to your router via Ethernet and using the browser interface to initiate and check download speeds? Pretty sure you don’t need it connected to a display to do that. Would eliminate any possibility of your ISP being the issue.
The first day I had my V, movies downloaded at around 800-900. A few days later dropped to 200-300 range. Spectrum swears they don’t throttle (and no fiber available in my area) but the issue eventually was resolved without me having to replace my hardware.

So I went out and spent a crap Ton of $$ and bought the high end Deco 3300 WiFi 7 setup. The change in my download speeds were dramatic…
I downloaded the 4K “Deepwater Horizon” in 12 minutes. Titanic 4K in 20 minutes with an average speed of 870 mps. Then I downloaded HD “The Poseidon Adventure” in less than 5 minutes averaging over 900 mps.
Needless to say I’m much happier than initially when it was taking me 30-40 minutes to download a 4K film.

Glad that worked! I tend to recommend spending a crap ton on hiring a company to Ethernet every room in the house. I kind of still recommend it to you, even though you seem to have good WiFi today. In my experience, WiFi never stays fast without a backhaul.
