Movie Updates

I may be missing something obvious here. I've had the Strato V since about October of 24. In the "movie updates" section it has always been empty. I do have Mission Impossible Rogue Nation, and I don't see any indication anywhere that it has been updated. Nor have I ever seen anything ever pop up there. What am I missing regarding these updates and where that information is shared with me?

To see an update you must have the exact version of the movie already downloaded on your equipment. If you have a Strato V, you likely have the Dolby Vision version of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. The HDR version is the one that was updated.

It will only tell you if a movie that is currently downloaded is updated. Otherwise it will just download the updated version next time you download it.

It will also only tell you if your specific, prioritized version is updated. So for a V it would likely only notify you if the DV version is updated while you currently have the DV version downloaded.

I downloaded the new Toto concert which has major lip sync issues, and not watchable. But having a strato V all my content is not on the unit. How will I know when the issue is fixed?

I've wanted to buy it too, but have heard multiple people here say the audio sync delay makes it "unwatchable".
Thread here discussing it. No response posted in that thread from Kaleidescape about it, but one user reports he got an answer they'll get to it at some point.

With a full 2 second delay on the audio, it's hard not to conclude that the internal quality control at Kaleidescape before pushing titles out to the store is slipping, or that they just have to prioritize bigger-budget movies. We know they do have their hands full with DV library conversions, other higher-profile encoding issues, and the newer hue-shift fixes on some titles they're working through.

A 7-year old Toto concert isn't going to get their attention at the moment. I'd hope they'd at least offer refunds to anyone that bought this title with such egregious sync issues.

Only updates it shows for me for La La Land is adding a PCM stereo track, not audio and video improvements. Same with Red.

Strange. Shows 'Audio and video improvements' for me as well. I have the HDR10 version downloaded. Maybe you have the DV version downloaded?

Another one that is only showing an updated audio track for mine (PCM stereo) and no other update. Same with the first movie and La La Land, despite people reporting AV improvements in their update????
