Best looking Marvel or Spider-Man movie by far. Demo video and audio really great movie as well. Felt like watching the Spidey of the comics and really captured a New York feel. It earned every penny it made at the box office!

Spider-Man brand new day. Story, meh. Good pop-corn movie, probably. Video and scenes are fantastic. Atmos track is a bit odd. My son was experiencing sounds on his row and I wasn’t. Like the party scene.

Other scenes seemed ok.

About to queue up something else as my Sox are getting trounced at home.

Spider-Man : Brand New Day for me, too.
Saw this in the theater (AMC Dolby Cinema) and walked away feeling underwhelmed by the story but impressed with AV.
Watched this at home last night and after 2nd viewing really enjoyed the story more. Also agree this is one of the best looking and sounding Spidey movies.

@JonProphet - Was going to watch either Coyote vs Acme or Onslaught, but my Guards actually remembered how to hit tonight. 🤣

Bro, I got 1 finger for you and his twin may show up…. 🤪👊

Easily reference material. Wow, just wow! I’m ONLY watching in HDR. This will show off your system no matter the level I feel.

Ended up buying brand new day at current price thanks to these comments!
But ended up watching Lucy with scar Jo due to time constraints.. man, Lucy has some good Atmos and plenty of bass! Dunno why, just always liked this movie..

Brand new day tomorrow. Also got voyage of Demeter due to many comments here on its Atmos performance even tho I’ve already seen it.

I’m curious if anyone else here got the bundle deal for the 3 “the strangers” movies or “Halloween” 3 movie bundle. I already got them but haven’t watched any yet.. all looked like they had good atmos coverage…

…… and filmed in Glasgow. Knowing the location intimately takes me out the film several times 🤣🤣. Had the same issue with World War Z and Fast and Furious 9 (filmed in Edinburgh).

Demeter won't disappoint, hopefully you have the hardware...... for it.....

I will wait for Spidey to go on sale as I saw it in theaters. Looking forward to it but have learned my lesson with many movies going on sale shortly after dropping.
I would normally do the same thing but the bundle for all 3 movies is very tempting

You need to get out more. I don't have that problem for movies shot in NY, Boston, Phil, LV, Chicago, LA or SFO all areas I know well from either living there or numerous visits. Rather, the awareness enhances the movie for me.

Same here.

Was it. Since I’m from the NY area it got the feel right at least as far as lighting. The Dark Knight Rises took me out of the movie since Gotham in previous Nolan movies was clearly Chicago and then abruptly in downtown NYC.

Watched PotC: Curse of the Black Pearl and Mission: Impossible. Curse was a solid movie with good sound, as many know just a fun movie to experience especially in 4K.

MI:1 was a great transfer with fantastic a DTS:MA sound track. Very dynamic. The 4K transfer was superb in my opinion.

I watched the first Hobbit movie last night and the video quality was excellent as always. Every time I've watch both the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies, I'm fascinated by the video quality. I had only ever watched the 4K versions via streaming so this was a treat for me with the higher quality audio as well.

Watched “War Horse” last night. Turn up the volume and immerse yourself in the some of the most realistic battle scenes filmed, particularly as the soldiers go “over the top” into no-man’s land. The film is a fitting tribute to the role that horses made during the conflict.

I picked up Army of Darkness earlier this week on sale. I haven't seen the movie in ages. I'm not a fan of that genre but I know its a cult classic so I picked it up in case anyone decides to spend time at my house. So I think that is my goal for tonight, followed by maybe MI:3. If a friend comes over, we'll queue up Dune or Dune 2.

Anything else anyone has queued up?

Any recommendations? I'm starting to venture out of my comfort zone of modern sci-fi, drama and what not. I'm going to start doing some classic US cinema before long.

I am thinking of doing a Mission Impossible binge over the coming weeks! It has been years since I saw the early ones.

I started with MI-1 this weekend. While I remembered who was the bad guy in the movie, I did not remember any of the details. So it was like watching a new movie where I knew the ending but did not know how the story got to that point! MI-2 next weekend!

I had a little extra time on Saturday so I watched a bit of Master and Commander. I was really impressed with the sound quality of the movie. The creaking sounds on board the ship seemed to come from all over my home theater. Great mix. But I was disappointed by the lack of bass in the cannon scene at the beginning of the movie, the bass on the BluRay disc seemed to have a lot more oomph to it.

Your complaint about the bass on the Atmos version is well documented by hard data. The DTS bass on the original DVD is considered superior to the Atmos version, as the low end is not "neutered."
