    • Use the "Conversation" feature (known as "private messaging" on other forums) to communicate directly with any of the other users here.

It's easy and free to register for the forum. Just click the "Register" button in the upper right corner of this page, and follow the instructions there.

What's the one feature...

In the meantime, you can just turn off/unplug the device you don't want it going to and it will go to your preferred server.

I previously did this to put HD content on an Alto to free up space for 4K content on the Terra.
Yeah, I wrote that too (turn off all other devices). But it's a pain. I want to be able to move stuff around between devices for long-term storage of favorite movies, versus short-term stuff on a Terra with fast downloads. If I delete an HD movie that happens to be on one of my Altos, I want to be able to quickly find another HD movie to replace it with. I have both Altos maxed out to less than 1GB of storage left.

I have a 2.40 screen with motorized masking and I really wish I could set the kscape UI and cover gallery to 16:9. I also have a Plex HTPC setup and there’s something magical about seeing the screen open up from 16:9 to 2.40 when a movie comes on that I miss when I’m on kscape.

I leave my Kaleidescape set to output widescreen. But yeah, I know what you mean. When I use my Apple TV or Nvidia Shield, it's always nice when the the picture goes from 16:9 user interface to a 2.40:1 movie image (I have a MadVR for auto-aspect). One really nice advantage of having a 2.40:1 screen is when the picture goes from a 16:9 to 2.40:1. When I used to have a 16:9 screen, it was always a downer when watching a 16:9 image, and then starting a movie that's 2.40:1. All of a sudden, the picture shrinks and bars on the top and bottom.

EDIT: did you try going to http://my-kaleidescape.local -> Settings -> Components -> Movie Player -> Settings? Under the View tab, you can "Select OSD Aspect Ratio". Did you try setting that to 16:9?
