US Digital Releases for July & August 2026

Regarding Warner Archive titles, on home theater forum, there is a thread dedicated to verifying which titles shared their restorations.
Thanks for bringing this up again. I found the post and was wondering if all of these additions to K were from it. Unfortunately, it's not an exact match with some on and some off the list. Which is unfortunate because it appears King Richard and the Crusaders is not on the list, meaning it doesn't match the well reviewed new Warner Archive disc release.

Looks like Motor City will be released on digital 8-25. Does Kaleidescape usually get IFC releases?

K has receive two of the four IFC releases this period (via AMC). Based on content, I’d put odds at slightly better than coin toss.

All Through the Night (1941) in HD with DTS-HD Master Mono from Warner Bros

Rafferty and the Gold Dust Twins (1975) in HD with DTS-HD Master Mono from Warner Bros

Wolf Creek Unrated Edition (2005) in HD with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 from Lionsgate

The Isolate Thief (2026) in SDR/HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Shout Factory

Pre-Order
The Brink of War (2026) in DV/HDR/SDR/HD from Angel Studios

The End of Oak Street (2026) in C_DV/C_HDR/C_SDR/DV/HDR/SDR/HD from Warner Bros

The Isolate Thief (2026) in SDR/HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Shout Factory
Second subpar release from Shout! this week. We know K can get HDR/DV titles from Shout but they only do so on select titles. Hmm.

I was thrilled to see Psycho appear as a 4K Cinematic file the day before I screened it — and also see Mars Attacks appear this week in 4KC for tomorrow night’s closing night film!

I don’t want to push my luck, but given discussion with the kids, they’re open to see my initial choice film for closing night tomorrow, which is Barbarian. I don’t know if the Kaleidescape gods can bestow one more miracle upon us, but even if not, we really appreciate all the 4KC films appearing just as we needed them!

How old are the kids? Barbarian is pretty intense.

I've been migrating a new (to me) Terra into my system and moved the Hitchcock titles over (delete and redownload). I wasn't paying enough attention and I accidentally deleted the HD version of Psycho, costing me all of the Extras that still haven't been restored from the HD Compatibility update. Come on K, we know that you're focused on 4KC updates but let's not forget the promises of 2024!

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby Unrated Edition (2006) C_DV/C_SDR/DV/HDR/SDR/HD with DTS-HD Master 5.1 from Sony Pictures

The Narrow Margin (1952) in HD with DTS-HD Master Mono from Warner Bros

Pre-Order
Toy Story 5 (2026) in C_DV/C_HDR/C_SDR/DV/HDR/SDR/HD from Pixar

Talking about pre-orders; the pre-order section seems to have disappeared from the K store (both on the app and on the website).

They have been reorganizing some things and renaming some things. It's still there, it's just not a row on the homepage anymore. it's in the dropdown. "Special Pricing" has become "On Sale This Week."

They seem to be cleaning up some navigational things that have happened over time when creating new features, and they probably didn't like having the pre-order row sometimes full, sometimes not, when it's located on the homepage.

Okay, I figure you all would appreciate this. My 19yo daughter minutes ago closed her dinner thanks with, and I quote, “I’m thankful that Dad’s Summer Film Festival closed with a really great movie!” Which was Zach Cregger’s brilliant debut Barbarian that I think actually @thrillcat recommended to me way back. Her favorite from the whole run though was Psycho, which got a 9/10.

I feel like my work here is done. 🎤 ⬇️

Also, on topic, I very grudgingly preordered Criterion’s 4K disc of The Right Stuff. As @LoveCinema said somewhere, I really hope WB retained their digital distribution rights on that one. I’d love to see that in 4K Cinematic.

This one is a surprise as it’s from a new distributor: 1-2 Special. Did K sign a new contract? Or is this title coming to us through another current studio/distributor? Other digital stores received this in 4K SDR so a subpar release would be an unfortunate introduction to a new source.

Not sure if it’s a typo or if I’m just reading it wrong, but Toy Story 5 is available to purchase today.
