Updates to Dolby Vision movies with hue shift

Howdy folks,

As discussed in another thread, we’ve been actively investigating an issue that some of you have reported regarding color rendition on certain movies that have Dolby Vision versions. We’ve identified an issue that causes a hue shift in certain colors, and we’re in the process of updating affected titles. Additional detail on the other thread.

Because of how content is processed, this issue can also affect the HDR10 version of a movie that has Dolby Vision, since the HDR10 version is produced alongside the Dolby Vision version using some of the same assets. We will update both versions of affected movies when needed.

For customers who have these movies downloaded to their systems, you'll see any updated titles show up in the Movie Updates page in the store, where they will be listed as having "Audio and Video improvements" or similar verbiage. However, for customers who have Strato V players where the movies may not be downloaded to their system, we'll also keep a running list here as movies are updated.

I'd like to emphasize that this issue affects a relatively small number of titles out of all of the Dolby Vision content available on Kaleidescape, and any movies released from this point on will of course not be affected.

Hi everyone,

No updates from last week. Sorry I forgot to post a message on Friday. We're coming to the end of the review of titles that had this issue, and we expect very few updates going forward.

We have three titles remaining on the list, and all three are ones that, if you weren't putting them side-by-side with a corrected title, you'd be unlikely to notice any issue.

Of course we're still working update those remaining titles but in terms of movies with a hue shift that you're likely to notice while watching, those are all done.
