Benefits of registering for a full account:

    • Participate in the discussions! You must have a registered account to make posts on the forums. You will be able to start your own thread on a topic or question, or you can reply to other threads/discussions.
    • Use the "Conversation" feature (known as "private messaging" on other forums) to communicate directly with any of the other users here.
    • Access the Files area. The "resources" area of the forum contains many "Favorite Scene" and Script files that can dramatically increase the enjoyment of your Kaleidescape system. Go directly to great scenes in your favorite movies, created by other owners, and add automation to playback of your system with Scripts.
    • You won't see this annoying notice at the top of every screen!😊

It's easy and free to register for the forum. Just click the "Register" button in the upper right corner of this page, and follow the instructions there.

Two Questions About Kaleidescape from Newbie

When you select the movie in player and the play window opens up, go to more options section and additional options will pop up. If you have multiple versions, there will be a category called play version and you can select which version to play.
Thanks for your help. I tried what you said and it worked! Yay! Your help is much appreciated.

PS: I was wondering what the previous messages were all about but I assumed that the OP had posted on the wrong thread!

Yes, he likely meant to post in the thread regarding the K and order status, etc... can't recall the exact title of the thread.

Strongly recommend against editing the metadata!
OK. This is a bit off-topic for this thread but since I've seen this comment in two different threads now, I'll post this rebuttal:

Editing the movie details metadata and providing your own cover art images is a fully supported feature of kOS. The data doesn't actually overwrite the stock data provided by our guide ball but is stored in their own tables. So the danger of "corrupting" your guide data is minimal. There is also a pair of buttons provided to allow one to see the original movie guide values and quickly revert to those values should you wish to do so.

Thanks for this info but before I posted my thoughts on metadata, I couldn't find anything on metadata in the knowledge base other than a question about adult films.
