Top 10 Vampire Movies

[Broncowrangler]

Just finished re-visiting one of my favorite vampire themed movies; From Dusk till Dawn on my V (4k/DV). I hope this gets a cinematic update soon.

I also happened to watch The Lost Boys last week. This set the ball rolling for a top 10 list of vampire based movies…plus with Halloween around the corner.

Here is a list (not necessarily in that particular order) of my favorite vampire themed movies.

1) From Dusk till Dawn
2) Daybreakers
3) Blade
4) Van Helsing
5) The Lost boys
6) Bram Stoker’s Dracula
7) Dracula Untold
8) Interview with the Vampire
9) Sinners
10) The Voyage of the Demeter.

Bonus: Fright Night (1985), Nosferatu (2024)

Would love to see your list/ recommendations.

Not sure about a ranked top ten, but in addition to those mentioned, I’d add two newer favorites: Let the Right One In and Only Lovers Left Alive.

Agree with 3 of your 5 selections but IMO BS Dracula witih Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman, et. al. and directed by FFC is the very best!

I agree with all the above, but you’ve gotta include :
1. Once Bitten
2. Dracula : Dead and Loving It
3. Vampire in Brooklyn

Near Dark (though not on K).

No love for The Hunger?

My childhood diet was Hammer films and its myriad of vampire movies with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.

Glad to see Fright Night called out. Salem's Lot was always one of my favorites too. Add in Bran Stoker's Dracula and those would be my top 3.

Jenny Wright - Most under rated 80's actress IMHO. Thanks for calling this one out. I need to watch this again. Haven't seen it since i was a teenager. Wonder if it holds up.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. Need to revisit soon as well. It’s getting a 4K remaster for its 40th anniversary next year, so will probably wait for that. Maybe we’ll even get it on K.

Good call out on Salem’s Lot. Another Stephen King based pick is The Night Flier. Obscure SD title.

Also, the vampire movies that Christopher Lee did with Hammer Films are cult classics.
