I have seen this issue a few times in the past but it has become more frequent as I add to my movie collection. At certain points in a scene the image will flicker or pulse from bright to dark almost like a strobing effect. It happens with HDR10 and DV content but mostly HDR10. My display is JVC NZ8 and I have a Lumagen processor in the path as well. I have tried other sources such as Panasonic 4k player and Zidoo player and do not have this problem. Anyone had similar issues?
 
Do you remember if you were also downloading content at the same time you were watching? I know that I was having tons of issues as well and one of them was flickering with some content. I had contacted K support on several occasions but couldn't figure out the reason until one support agent ask me if I had been downloading at the same time. The issues stopped once I stopped downloading. Now I only download prior to watching. He also suggested changing the download speed to no more than 700Mbps because it's supposed to handle both watching and downloading using that speed. Hopefully this helps?
 
No, nothing was downloading during any of the movies playing. Actually, I have never attempted to watch a movie while also downloading at the same time. I will say the player runs warmer than I would expect. Warmer than the server which is the opposite of what I would expect.

I know this is old but did you ever sort this out? I'm having the same issue with similar equipment - Strato V, NZ7, Lumagen. Has been fine for a year up until now.

Oh, it’s been so long I don’t exactly remember what I did to fix it. I do think it had something to do with the Lumagen though. I want to say I needed to enable Genlock on the Lumagen to stop the flickering. I also sort of remember not being able to reproduce the issue by toggling it off and on once the issue resolved. Haven’t had a problem since though.

Ok thanks. I think I saw you mentioned genlock in the Lumagen AVS thread which I thought fixed it for me but it didn't stick. Glad yours has been working though.
