How I Use the Strato S, Strato K, and 8TB Terra Together

The goal was to make the Kaleidescape Strato S, Strato K, and 8TB Terra server work together while maximizing storage and keeping different movie formats organized.

How the system is organized

Strato S: Dedicated to storing Dolby Vision and HDR10 movies, along with demo clips and movies not intended for 4K Cinematic.

Terra server (8TB): Primarily dedicated to movies available in 4K Cinematic.

Strato K: Used strictly for playback for all movies.

How the process worked

Turned off the Strato S and removed movies from the Terra that weren't needed in 4K Cinematic.

Moved the selected titles to the Strato S's storage allocation by removing them from the Terra and downloading them to the Strato S.

Turned off the Terra server, leaving the Strato K and Strato S visible in the system.

Downloaded selected movies to the Strato S, selecting Dolby Vision where available.

Filled the Strato S with movies that didn't need to occupy the Terra's 4K Cinematic storage
