Sony is Now in the K Store!

Fantastic! Now who's next?!?

Being that Sony seems to be leading with the 4k rollout this is very good news for us. Hopefully those 4k players and content will be sooner rather than later

Good job

Sony's Joined the Store!!

Excited to see the newest addition to the Kaleidescape store!!

Thanks

Glad I came by the forum. Hit the store for a few new titles and some digital versions to free up B_R disc slots in the M700. This is GREAT news. Hope we have more studios in the queue.
I do find it odd though that some movies I own in B_R update for $1.99 or a few bucks more, but others sell for the same price if you own them or not. Das Boot is an example. Oh well.

My assumption is that sooner or later disc-to-digital will be available on all of them.

I think that's part of the "plan" based on the CEO's comments.....:)

50 discs out of the vaults! Time to sell one ?

Wow, nice. I was only able to unslot 18 titles on this go around. Not a bad amount though and it looks like more will be coming.

+7 unslot titles today, a total of 57. 35 titles @ $1.99 and 22 Ultraviolet downloads.

You assumed correctly John. Titles available for $1.99 upgrades today that were not yesterday.

I am still missing(a $1.99 disc free upgrade)
Zero Dark Thirty(UltraViolet-enabled)
Friends with Benefits
Underworld
Underworld Evolution
The Patriot

Jerry Maguire(DVD to HD)

Thanks. I will have to go check my upgrades.

Whats the advantage of unslotting? Seems to me its just better to wait for the new movies and keep the old ones in the slots?

It depends on whether you are running low on slots or not. Also I like to have at least 50 slots available for mass loading of CD's.

Some of us are out of slots, but not discs to store. With all these studios planned to come online by year-end, it's hard to justify getting yet another vault. I wouldn't mind providing a good home for anyone winning the studio lotto but not quite ready to pull the trigger on selling yet :)

Haven't started vetting store downloads against the discs for content (I may be the only one who cares,) but looking like I will hopefully at least get through my immediate needs. Nothing like suddenly finding a box with a dozen-or-so discs somewhere it doesn't belong. Doubt there's enough to let another franchise off the 2Long2Import list, but won't know for sure until the waves of titles finish appearing.

With the new UI for the store I can't figure out which movies I have UV rights to but I'm wasting space in a vault because of my blu-ray copy when I could instead just download the movie from the store and delete my old copy.
