Server temperature

I just placed my 48 Gb Terra server into an equipment rack with other networking equipment. It is reporting a temp of 49C which is in the “green” range but at the upper range. Is this completely fine or should I look into some kind of cabinet ventilation?

My server shows a drive temp of 49c as well. It's in an open, climate controlled room with airflow. I assume this is normal.

K has repeatedly stated that the color coding is accurate and anything anywhere is green is fine and there should be no concern,

FYI, right now all 3 of my movie servers (not in use) are 49C and my Strato C is 52C.

My new Prime 120 also runs at the high end of the green: 49-51 C in a 72 F ambient
However with front door of server left open, drive temp drops about 5 C or more
I notice the 2 fans running quietly: I assume they are temperature controlled

I didn't like the fact that the box was hot to the touch. Since consistently high temperatures are often associated with failure of electronics, I mounted an inexpensive (<$20) low flow USB powered rack fan behind the server which lowered the internal temp significantly.

My 120tb usually runs 52C doesn’t change much when watching or at rest
My Strato K runs 35C and also doesn’t change much when watching or at rest
Both are rack mounted under my stairs and I keep the door open for ventilation and don’t use any other rack fans etc

How much did the usb rack fan drop the temp?

I can't remember the exact change but it was near the max of the green bar and now it's 34 C which is lower third of green bar. Before the fan it was very warm to the touch days after install even when not using K but now it's cool to the touch. It's a Terra SSD.

The equipment room is a zone in my HVAC system that runs 79-80 F constantly but individual components often run warmer.
