I barely notice a difference. I know no visitors to my home have. They still comment over how amazing the movie wall is.
I also have not had anyone (guests or family) make any comments...but I blame ignorance on their part since I clearly notice how "compromised" the UI looks on 135in projection system. I think its that ...ooh that screen almost takes up a whole wall that blinds them to any quality issues with the poster wall ...which goes away when movie starts up and the sound kicks in and they forgot there was even a poster wall to begin with.

I think it's fair to say that those of us using a new-model TV (e.g. Sony A95L 77", X95L 85" or Bravia 9) don't notice the difference in UI as much as those using a projector system (particularly at large projection size).

I'm using it on an LG G3 77" and 133" scope screen. Looks great on both. I had the C with me screen previously and while I can tell the difference, most people won't be able to unless you point it out, it's really a non-issue.

Sorry I meant favorite them so they don’t delete. Once I’ve downloaded the movie I don’t see a way to do this from the app.

With the Strato V in standalone mode, the only way to add a movie to the favourites collection is via the detail sheet on the OSD.

Gotcha. On the player UI you will select “collections” on the corresponding title, subsequently you will check “favorites” so that this stays permanently on the hard drive. Of course you can always unselect that option.

can the ability to do this from the app be added via a software update?

Hey all. What is the latest KOS version you are seeing on your Strato V?

I’ve got about 40 movies on the system now, still not watched any as I’m getting through a load on my NAS still!

What I wondered though is how you know what you have and haven’t watched? I know stuff goes into the played category and then will get deleted unless you put it in your favourites but once it’s off the system is there a way to know if you’ve watched it before?

On my Zidoo it will put a little icon on the poster or you can see in the info which is super useful. Seems like a missed opportunity to chuck in some stats on things though to show both whether you’ve watched it before, how many times and maybe even the last time, something like “Steam” does for games with all their metrics.

Second question, right now I have enough space for one more film but I’ve just been cancelling the downloads, if I leave them downloading and the SSD is full what will happen? Does it just queue them all and wait to download once something is moved to the played list or is there another metric? I feel like I saw something about after a certain number of days it would start deleting things even if you hadn’t watched them?

The download queue will remain blocked until space is freed up on the local storage. Content won't be automatically deleted until it's been in the Played collection for at least 48 hours. The system should never automatically delete unwatched content (unless it's a rental that expired before you watched it).

I'd love to know when I last watched something, or how many times I've watched something. I know the information is stored in the logs ... it's just a matter of bubbling those details up somewhere in the UI.

Ok everything is in the download queue now, easy way to know what I haven’t watched yet until I get a Terra and then I’ll have to try and remember again. Seems like it will be even harder than on my Zidoo given the poster wall isn’t alphabetised by default.

Just watched Inside Out 2, no dropouts of any kind and picture and audio as good as any UHD I’ve watched. Now to see what happens now I’ve got something in the played list.

Are there any trailers you can watch of your owned films, I know the V didn’t have the store before does it not have trailers at the moment either as I’ve seen it mentioned you could watch them but the only place I’ve seen them is in the app?

I believe traielrs are available, in the store, on the C. I recall somewhere in here, it was mentioned that trailer functionality would return to the store on the "V". When though, is anyone's guess.
