NEWS: New James Bond Superbundle Promo

I hadn't realized Never Say Never Again wasn't included in the sale. I'll be honest, I'd never even heard of the Casino Royale 1966 version until this thread.
Ah man, look at its cast, Orson Welles, Woody Allen, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Ursula Andress, Deborah Kerr, Jean Paul Belmondo and many others. All 25 Bond films combined didn’t have this many starts! So how good is this movie? It’s a big pile of rubbish:)

I finished out my collection on this sale. I had bought the handful that were on sale a few months ago and Never Say Never was on sale at one point and I picked it up. I'll skip CR, was never a fan of that one (the original).

I'm with Jeremy though, would LOVE to see a Ghibili sale like this at some point.

So, I'm brand new to the Kscape universe! In fact my new home (and home theater) are currently under construction. My installer has my Kscape hardware but it will be several months before it's installed and we can move in.
I am a huge JB fan. Is it possible for me to create my account and purchase some of these movies while they are on sale before activating the hardware?

Thanks in advance for your help/advice!

You can create your account and purchase titles now (including Bond). Just be sure and activate your system with the same email address you’re using now when it is all set up.

I don’t believe you can create an account without activating the hardware. The store account is created automatically when you activate your Kaleidescape system.

For those that have already grabbed No Time to Die, is the store listing correct that "Being Bond" is on the HD download? It looks like this supposed to be on the 4k disc on the shiny versions (albeit at HD resolution, although looks like the missing-because-Universal features might be on the UHD as well for the 4k releases.)

Does the Bond sale end in about 40 minutes or midnight Tuesday night?
Actually, I was wrong. The Memorial Day and Tom Cruise sale will end sometime this morning (5/30). The Bond sale apparently goes through 5/31 so should end tonight / tomorrow morning. I just assumed it ended on Tuesday like the regular sales do.

I reached out to Kaleidescape and this was their response:

Hi,

Since your installer has your system, they could connect it to the internet at their office and activate it for you (you need to provide them the email address to use). You will get an email with a link to our registration page and once you fill out the registration information you can select the "Activate" button at the bottom of the page and your store account will be activated.

At that point, you can access the Kaleidescape movie store either through the website (store.kaleidescape.com) or through our mobile app (available in your app store - search for Kaleidescape) and begin to purchase movies.

Note: if the installer leaves the server online at his shop, the movies will download to it and be ready to play when it is installed. Otherwise, the movies will get queued for download and the downloads will start when the server is next online.

Additional note: It would be best for the installer to also put your Strato C player online and group with the server, and connect the HDMI output to a 4K-capable TV. That way, your downloads will default to 4K HDR format. Otherwise, you will need to select the format to download for each purchase until your full system is online.

Best regards,

This sounds great but I would ask them about the warranty situation. I would guess the warranty period will begin the moment the system is activated.

Technically, the warranty starts when the product ships from K, applies to all products. I assume this doesn't apply to "stocking" dealers (Magnolia, etc.), but if a dealer held an item in stock for awhile before selling, K may allow an adjustment for that on a case by case basis. Once it goes online for any reason, the warranty starts. That's my understanding.

Jim

When were they that price? Was it a package price for all 25 together?

It's currently $374.75 for all 25.
