New Black Remote Issue - remote not functioning

Hi There, Just got new Strato C and Server Prime setup. Everything is working except the remote. Player does not respond to any button press.

Direct line of site to front of player
Tried the hard reset sequence
New Batteries, 2 batches just in case
Phone Camera shows IR emitting
Did reboots.
LED also turns red for every button press

iPhone App works fine.

Thoughts?
 
Make sure the Strato C is set to respond to “Toshiba” IR code sets.

Those are relatively new remotes, so it's too soon to note historical problems, but there have been one or two comments about intermittent problems. Fortunately, if it is the remote it's an easy fix, just report the problem to your dealer so they can open a support case and get you a replacement.

Strato C has the defaults selected which are Toshiba and Kenwood
On my Strato C, you can only pick one or the other. It needs to be Toshiba.

You've tried all of the troubleshooting steps I'd have recommended except for one (which will likely be the toughest one to do):
If you have access to another KRemote (old, white one or a new black one; doesn't matter) or some other IR remote that has standard DVD controls (e.g. a generic universal remote) it would be useful to try to control the Strato C with that. That would pinpoint the problem to either the KRemote or the Strato C itself (it could be a faulty IR receiver in the Strato C).

Unfortunately, controlling via the mobile app doesn't eliminate the Strato C as the possible problem as the mobile app is IP control rather than IR.
