Multiple Aspects Ratios?

Just watched Hail Mary and it’s the 1st time I saw a movie with multiple aspect ratios during a movie. What is the best way to watch?

I had people over to watch and I was a little taken off guard.

I despise variable aspect ratio, but there are a few titles where it makes sense as an actual plot device. Project Hail Mary is one of them. We watched, letting the Lumagen change the scaling on our 2.40:1 screen.

Without a device to automatically adjust to the changing ratios, I'd just watch at 16:9, I think.
