Movie Updates

I'm talking about the physical 4K disc and I guess my thoughts didn't make it to the keyboard. Disney routinely neuters the main audio track on a disc. I have multiple copies of other movies that are Disney and the audio mix is terrible. Not sure how you inferred I was talking about extras or anything to do with K-scape.
I agree there was a time when Disney was very lacking in the bass department on a lot of their movies. With most of the movies that are being released now they seem to fix the issues with the bass soundtracks 👍

Black Panther (2018) in HD from Marvel Studios updated to Dolby TrueHD Atmos from DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1

I thought Thor: Love and Thunder was worse.
Imho, Love and thunder is one of the better efforts by Disney in recent times. But as usual ymmv. I feel the atmos track is quite decent with some impactful low end.

Ragnorak has a mediocre track, you need to crank it up by at least 10-15 dbs to get some semblance of dialogue intelligibility.

I felt the dialog was fine. It was the overall music sound track that was flat and fell on its face. Granted I was so disgusted by it I never played it but 2 times. I really like the movie and to hear Immigrant Sound in all its full dynamic beauty would be fantastic.

I feel the same way about “Whole Lotta Love” in F1. In the theater it was ok and they killed the sound of the Porsche GT car. In my theater, it’s so much our present and the song is punchy. I mean come on this is one of rock and rolls most legendary drummers.

An American Werewolf in London (1981) from NBCUniversal updated to include DV with Dolby TrueHD Atmos
HDR/SDR/HD updated to Dolby TrueHD Atmos from DTS-HD Master 5.1

Thor: Ragnarok (2017) in HD from Marvel Studios updated to Dolby TrueHD Atmos from DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1

Thor: The Dark World (2013) in HD from Marvel Studios updated to Dolby TrueHD Atmos from DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1

This makes both the Arrow and Turbine 4K release redundant. Lol. They have atmos missing.

Fwiw, the US 4k disc (Universal) which released few days ago supports atmos.

Does anybody know if Avengers: Endgame will get an update for the recently in theaters Avengers: Endgame Encore or will we have to purchase it as a new movie?

Are they changing anything to the movie? Adding new scenes etc.

No idea, but it would be nice if they made Avengers: Endgame Encore available before the 12/18/26 premiere of Avengers: Doomsday. Yes, I know, it isn’t totally up to K-scape, and, yes, I’m sure the added bits can be seen on YouTube, but still …

Honestly, if they are really close to fixing the Luma resolution issue, I would hope at some point they would stop releasing Cinematic titles until that fix is in place, otherwise you are just looking at more and more updates that need to be pushed. So hopefully it is a sign that the fix is imminent, or maybe it is just Monday and they are holding things off until tomorrow when they do all the other movie additions.
