  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Kaleidescape Gear Marketplace"? 🤔

    To sell gear on the forum, you need to have a current "premium" (paid) membership on the forum.

    The Kaleidescape Owners Forum doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. The fees for these premium memberships for people who sell gear here is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

    To summarize the tiers of membership:

    • Registered (free) members can participate in any discussions anywhere on the forum, message other users, download favorite-scene files and script files, and reply to any marketplace listings.
    • "Supporter"-tier members (as little as $15 for 30 days) can also make listings in the Kaleidescape (ONLY) gear Marketplace in order to try to sell Kaleidescape gear.
      (Supporters can NOT make listings on the Non-Kaleidescape Forum)
    • "Premium" and "Patron"-tier members, (starting at $50 for 6 months) in addition to many other benefits, can make listings to either of the marketplace sections here in this forum section.

As an equipment reviewer, items come and go through my system fairly frequently. I have just upgraded my Marantz AV8003 pre-pro and am now looking to find it a happy home. The piece has served me incredibly well for about two years. Never glitched, or locked up, or did anything other than turn on and work. Been kept inside a Salamander equipment rack the entire time. Runs flawlessly. Decodes DTS-HD and Dolby-TrueHD (been using it with a Kaleidescape system for a while now...) Also has balanced XLR outputs.

Anyhow, it's been a great piece. Cosmetically I'd say it is a 9-10. It sells for $2599, I'd like to get $1500 for it. I am a Marantz dealer so I would sell it to you through my store giving the buyer a full 3 year Marantz warranty.

If you have been wanting to enjoy BD audio but haven't wanted to spend the major bucks on a Krell, Levinson, Halcro, Classe, Lexicon, etc. upgrade, this would be a nice tide-you-over piece until K-players decode internally.
