  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Kaleidescape Gear Marketplace"? 🤔

    To sell gear on the forum, you need to have a current "premium" (paid) membership on the forum.

    The Kaleidescape Owners Forum doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. The fees for these premium memberships for people who sell gear here is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

    To summarize the tiers of membership:

    • Registered (free) members can participate in any discussions anywhere on the forum, message other users, download favorite-scene files and script files, and reply to any marketplace listings.
    • "Supporter"-tier members (as little as $15 for 30 days) can also make listings in the Kaleidescape (ONLY) gear Marketplace in order to try to sell Kaleidescape gear.
      (Supporters can NOT make listings on the Non-Kaleidescape Forum)
    • "Premium" and "Patron"-tier members, (starting at $50 for 6 months) in addition to many other benefits, can make listings to either of the marketplace sections here in this forum section.

Someone is using your pictures and description on EBay. They’re asking $3400. I assumed it was a scam and then came on here and saw this.
 
Unless the Seller is pricing separately for two different markets, someone is running a scam. Ebay should be notified.

Regarding the listing posted above, if you are the Seller, contact me so that I can confirm some info regarding you and this listing. I'm only requiring this because of the info posted by member Uoflfan27, and because we've experienced a few listing scams on the Forum in the recent past. I always find it interesting that you both joined the Forum on the same. Not sure if that means anything.

I’ve just been looking both here and EBay to upgrade my storage and noticed that the pictures were the same. I figured Buzz was the legit listing since he’s charging an expected amount for the 12TB.

Good catch!
Preliminarily the post on this Forum appears legit. I was able to have an entity confirm some info not public and I expect to speak with the Seller this morning to confirm. I will post here as soon as I do.

This is a confirmed "safe" listing. I spoke directly with the Seller and he was able to corroborate the non-public info I had, so it is safe to transact with him (nice guy as well).

I’m interested in a server that is compatible with my StratoV. I have also noticed you have had this up for awhile. Where are you and why so low on price and not sold
 
According to Kaleidescape The StratoV is compatible with the 12TB Terra Movie Server.

I don't know why it hasn't sold yet. The pictures I posted where scam posted on Ebay. The Ebay seller stole my pictures. That may have put some buyers off. I think is fairly priced.

Just to reiterate my comment above, I confirmed this Seller is legit, I spoke with him directly. Unfortunately, some scammer used his photos to create a scam sale so that may be putting some potential buyers off
